Because, hey - now the VOTERS get to decide if a woman has rights nor not. Why would anyone be opposed to that? Don't you trust voters to do the right thing?

I've already heard it a half dozen times in the past day. If you oppose overturning a 50+ year old precedent and what has been the law of the land for a generation, you're against democracy. You're against Americans.

They really play us all for fools.

consent of the governed. I do not need to weigh in on what Alabama wants Those laws do not impact me

so yeah - this is about democracy in action.

How far are you gonna go? how about going to war with countries that don't agree with you on abortions?

Most do.

But why are a women's inherent rights up to voters? Can we start putting the right to own a gun on the ballot in various states?

Trump appointed three of these judges

All because the Russians fixed an election for him

And because turtle head illegally kept Obama from his constitutional right to appoint a SCOTUS member

Well, you should tell that to the leftists who are saying that this was "against democracy" because the SCOTUS, who took this decision off the plate of voters in a radical court decision, may give it back to them. It seems like both parties are going to tell the rest of America that they "hate democracy"... though this decision actually gives democracy a voice in a decision...

Basically, if you can vote on it, it is bad... Left
If you cannot vote on it, it is bad... Right

The overlap is in the end of the sentence "for democracy"...

I wonder how dudes would feel if basic rights over their body were put out to statewide votes?

My bet is it would be much like this now, we'd have some men tell women how they couldn't opine on the subject because it is our right to kill our unborn progeny... There would be some that would think that way and others who would think the progeny has some interest in the process, and women too as they helped to create the progeny.. even if they aren't yet old enough to speak they will think that they are alive... We'd have protests where some dudes would say things like, "My body, my choice" while other dudes would be protesting saying things like, "Don't kill babies before they are born."

It would be exactly like what we have now, because not all women agree with you or them, not all men agree with you or them.

So, you don't support a woman's rights over her own body?

Quite a few of the trigger laws out there don't allow exceptions for rape & incest. Sorry - this debate is about freedom.

more false equivalence. over the last half century, we humans have lost most of our ability to think correctly. Most people have no ability, or desire, to look at a bigger picture when making decisions............

men and women have to deal with the huge responsibility that they can create life through sex. that decision to have sex can have a potential price to it.

the states that don't allow for those exceptions are wrong and I hope that their state court systems deal with that appropriately.

easy! to protect from foreign invasion - you have to give people the government they want. why would they defend one they don't want? also this involves the rights of the unborn - so your sophomoric attempts at retardism is a failure.

so allowing states or lower forms of government the power to take on the authoritarian role is the better way - we can vote with our feet and impact change that way if we can't succeed in voting for those that represent us
