And this is where your argument falls apart. It isn't "a woman" making the decision. It is the unborn child's mother. The mother is the only one with the right to make such a decision. And as long as the unborn child resides within the body of the mother, it is a part of the mother and she can kill it if she so chooses. End of story.

And you are free to have that opinion. You can hate women who abort, just as much as I hate political scum who deny disenfranchised BORN children basic rights.

Denying women the right to abort means more unwanted births to ill-equipped mothers, more dead babies in dumpsters, more child abuse, more child neglect, more impoverished conditions for the children born to parents who didn't want and couldn't afford them.

Over half the women I know have had abortions at some point in their lives. All of them anguished over the decision, yet all of them are grateful for having been able to make that choice and none of them regret that choice given their circumstances at the time of the decision.

I'm aware of that. The problem is that, in order to provide rights to the unborn, rights of the mother are forfeited.

For most reasonable people, this is a no-brainer.

Women can choose to have sex or not. Women who choose to have sex can choose to use protection or not. If the result of their choices is pregnancy, then they (and the fathers) have to accept responsibility. They don't just get to kill the unborn child because they feel like it.
