Democratic offices started passing around a quote last night from conservative Rep. Marlin Stutzman (R-Ind.).
Stutzman explained to The Washington Examiner's David Drucker how the new GOP position on the government shutdown isn't really even about Obamacare anymore. It's about respect:

“We’re not going to be disrespected. We have to get something out of this. And I don’t know what that even is.”

Feds Try to Close the Ocean
Just before the weekend, the National Park Service informed charter boat captains in Florida that the Florida Bay was "closed" due to the shutdown. Until government funding is restored, the fishing boats are prohibited from taking anglers into 1,100 square-miles of open ocean. Fishing is also prohibited at Biscayne National Park during the shutdown.

The Park Service will also have rangers on duty to police the ban... of access to an ocean. The government will probably use more personnel and spend more resources to attempt to close the ocean, than it would in its normal course of business.
 
Not funding the govt is the most idiotic thing of all. Repubs win hands down in the idiot dept. All else is fluff.

During this time this IDIOT could have been putting together budget proposals to ensure we don't default......Sadly it only seems to be the Dems proposing budgets and the party of NO voting them down.

They don't want a budget passed by the Left, they don't want to propose a budget, they simply want to vote No on all Government. This is clear at this point.

Or that it's the GOP's fault, even though the years with a Dem House majority and filibuster-proof Senate majority produced no budget?

Or that we wouldn't even be going through this if this incompetent just did what every other president has done; run the country with a budget?
