It's all about the profit. Always.
With proper regulation we can make it work.
Republicans are totally against that

Of all the many aspects of Obama's ACA, the pre-existing health conditions is the one most hated by the corporate insurance company overlords. They prefer a vast pool of paying (really really PAYING) beneficiaries who are young, healthy, employed-with-employer-making-most-of-the-premium-payments. Their actuarial geeks have calculated that in any given pool of employees, there are bound to be a few (percentage-wise) beneficiaries with pre-existing conditions. There will be a larger pool of young fertile women who will be drawing benefits for maternal care. So the rates quoted for employers are based on these and other factors. If you work in an industry like health care, for instance, that is top-heavy with young women, expect to pay more for your health insurance. You would not believe how these health insurance companies crunch the numbers -- and what they pay their business analysts to crunch -- to make sure that the payouts to the insureds is far lower than company profits.
Mr. Owl has worked in IT for the health insurance giants his whole career except for a brief few years at a large national defense/aerospace company. You guys have no idea how we're getting f'd up the exhaust pipe.
Goldman Sachs: Curing Cancer is ‘NOT a Sustainable Business Model’
Treating sick people is far more profitable than curing them, according to Goldman Sachs

Bullshit. Dems are all in on the ACA...and were it not for ONE friggin pseudoDem (Lieberman) we would have had a Medicare buy in
Save the "they all suck" nonsense.
There are distinct differences
They are right.
Be afraid. Be very afraid.
Oh I know, 25 years in the pharma/research game. I am ok with the fact that I will pass away someday. What I will not do is bow before predatory capitalism and beg to live longer. A religious perceptual reality informs adherents to fear death and their god. A spiritual perceptual reality leads to the realization that we are here to do what we can to maintain the balance leaving a light footprint.
WHat do you know about America ...fucking sock puppet.
