GOP agrees to Comey's rules

He fought for his terms. Big difference. He won, because he's innocent.

Nunes is done. He can't continue to commit treason anymore.

He fought the summons. Not just for his terms.

"Former FBI Director James Comey will testify behind closed doors on Friday before the House Judiciary Committee at the request of Republican lawmakers, his lawyers said, after ending a legal fight to quash their subpoena.

Comey had sued to block the summons last week, contending that the sealed testimony would be leaked and distorted by Republicans for political purposes.

Early on Sunday, two days after Comey’s attorney conceded in court that no federal trial judge had ever batted down a House subpoena, the former Federal Bureau of Investigations chief -- who was fired by President Donald Trump in 2017 -- withdrew his request."

Because Nunes selectively leaks snippets from all House testimony. Comey made it clear from day one that he's happy to testify, but in a public hearing in order to avoid the former.

There are ways to win battles against a corrupt govt. Comey won. He'll get to testify, and have full control over his words.

Playing semantics purposely avoids the facts in the case...which is typical of every action the House has taken since the inauguration.

Now about trump....

Only time will tell. I do wish he would stop milking this and if he actually has something, present it. That is just me though.
Well, there's a major obstruction of justice ploy playing out, so Mueller's timing has a lot to do with being one step ahead of the crooks. I admit that it has been a long time coming, but I'm guessing you thought Benghazi 1-3 was taking too long also?

As long as the House allows him to talk and to publicize the whole dealings within 24 hours, I don't think anyone should have a gripe.

Do you know why the GOP wants him behind closed doors? It's not to keep anything from the public. It's because in an open hearing, each committee member gets a 5 minute time limit. No time limit in a closed door. Comey has shown himself to be an expert at running around the ring dodging punches for short periods of time, let's see how he does when someone digs at him for an hour, on the same question.

There’s not a more slippery weasel in all the Swamp.

And that’s saying something.

They don't want the public to know anything.

Comey leaked *with the admitted intent* to get his good buddy Mullet appointed SP—to investigate the man who fired him.

And he got away with it. What more does the public need to know? Why do we even need another hearing? The question is will anyone, Congress, the AG, someone, anyone, finally fricking do anything about it?

Senators/Reps grandstand during open meetings. They leak the closed meetings good stuff.
