Probably so, Mueller will alleviate them of that responsibility.
He fought the summons. Not just for his terms.

Only time will tell. I do wish he would stop milking this and if he actually has something, present it. That is just me though.

Because Nunes selectively leaks snippets from all House testimony. Comey made it clear from day one that he's happy to testify, but in a public hearing in order to avoid the former.
There are ways to win battles against a corrupt govt. Comey won. He'll get to testify, and have full control over his words.
Playing semantics purposely avoids the facts in the case...which is typical of every action the House has taken since the inauguration.

Well, there's a major obstruction of justice ploy playing out, so Mueller's timing has a lot to do with being one step ahead of the crooks. I admit that it has been a long time coming, but I'm guessing you thought Benghazi 1-3 was taking too long also?

If I was innocent I would be more than happy to testify in front of congress. Beats the hell out a Mullet interview. Anything can happen in one of those.
Apparently, Comey isn’t so innocent.
The same reason he gave a written testimony instead of a face to face.

Do you know why the GOP wants him behind closed doors? It's not to keep anything from the public. It's because in an open hearing, each committee member gets a 5 minute time limit. No time limit in a closed door. Comey has shown himself to be an expert at running around the ring dodging punches for short periods of time, let's see how he does when someone digs at him for an hour, on the same question.

And he got away with it. What more does the public need to know? Why do we even need another hearing? The question is will anyone, Congress, the AG, someone, anyone, finally fricking do anything about it?
