GOP accuses American military personnel of voter fraud

Anyone here using a fake name can claim anything. Earl is probably lying, but there's nothing anyone can do about it because no one knows his real name. Before I put him on permanent ignore, I was appalled that the quality of his posts show someone with little intelligence, insight, honor, or education. There's no way he was an officer, at least in the U.S. military. Maybe he played one for a while down in Central America.

Prep school perhaps.....??

I would guess a poor sap like him would get a few blanket parties..........

Looks like cabron pequeño earl likes barr screwing our military personal & families..

Agreed, but since he's both a vet and obviously not the man he once was, I forgive him. We certainly won't see him in the streets leading a group of neo-nazi/Alt-Right/Qanon Trump supporters dragging liberals into the streets and executing them.

He says he is a vet..........

:dunno:

Personally I would put little past him... Not that he would hit the streets, but he would cheer it on from his easy chair @ home.......

It's deplorable for our own government representatives to condemn and attack military personnel and their dependents. The world has truly gone topsy-turvy when it's the Democrats protecting the military and it's the Republicans condemning our service personnel and their families.

This isn't the first time this has happened during the Trump administration. Let's hope it's the last. This attempt to disenfranchise our military should be stopped in its tracks ASAP.

A letter sent Nov. 5 on behalf of President Donald Trump's reelection campaign to Attorney General William Barr alleges that 3,062 voters who do not live in the state of Nevada "improperly cast" absentee ballots in the 2020 election.

But the list that accompanies the letter of those accused of "criminal voter fraud" contains hundreds of overseas military post office boxes and more than 1,000 locations where military personnel are stationed, such as Minot, North Dakota; Edwards and Fort Irwin, California; Hill Air Force Base, Utah; Carlisle, Pennsylvania; and Yuma, Arizona....

...The Trump campaign in Nevada did not respond to a request for comment from Military.com....

Military personnel and their dependents must vote in the state they consider their permanent residence often called home of record, regardless of current residence.

Example GI's permanent home state is Ga. but is stationed in Cal. or overseas he/she and dependents can legally absentee vote in Ga.
I voted absentee in Fla. no matter where I was stationed. It is perfectly legal.

I never doubt a person claiming to be a vet unless there is clear evidence they are not. When they start claiming to be Vietnam vets in the bush with Charlie then I start to wonder.

In Earl's case, I don't doubt his service. Obviously there is a disconnect in his behavior as an Air Force Captain and his behavior on this forum. IMO, while Occam's Razor says you are most likely correct, I've seen enough fellow vets suffer injuries and diseases to know there are alternative answers to the disconnect. Either way, it's difficult to prove definitively unless someone knows him personally. :dunno:

Agreed. I did it for my entire career. Same state for most of it too.

I don't doubt, I take w/ a grain of salt everything I read on the internet & I don't recall reading his statement on it.........

If he did or not means nothing to me.

I do find it sad he has chosen to play a one denominational bot when he is likely capable of actual reason.......... Be that as it may, it's his choice..

Grain of salt is always a good philosophy.

He posted it. Vets like to share their backgrounds. Note the difference between sharing and bragging. :)

Hence why I believe there is an alternative answer. Maybe you are correct, but I think there is something to my thoughts on the matter.
