GOP accuses American military personnel of voter fraud

It's deplorable for our own government representatives to condemn and attack military personnel and their dependents. The world has truly gone topsy-turvy when it's the Democrats protecting the military and it's the Republicans condemning our service personnel and their families.

This isn't the first time this has happened during the Trump administration. Let's hope it's the last. This attempt to disenfranchise our military should be stopped in its tracks ASAP.

A letter sent Nov. 5 on behalf of President Donald Trump's reelection campaign to Attorney General William Barr alleges that 3,062 voters who do not live in the state of Nevada "improperly cast" absentee ballots in the 2020 election.

But the list that accompanies the letter of those accused of "criminal voter fraud" contains hundreds of overseas military post office boxes and more than 1,000 locations where military personnel are stationed, such as Minot, North Dakota; Edwards and Fort Irwin, California; Hill Air Force Base, Utah; Carlisle, Pennsylvania; and Yuma, Arizona....

...The Trump campaign in Nevada did not respond to a request for comment from Military.com....

Several members of this forum, and not necessarily American citizens much less veterans or active duty military personnel, have condemned the US military during the Trump administration.

Examples will be posted as found.

fuck Vietnam war. draft dodgers were correct. US lost 50k dead for absolutely no reason

Indeed, the Air Force (my branch) will do their part too.

Evidence Earl has switched allegiances or proof he isn't who he claimed to be:

Sad, but it appears Earl has become an enemy of all American military personnel.

This is very typical of a cult leader and his followers. There is literally no American institution allowed to be unscathed by their vicious, unfounded attacks -- even the U.S. military. The Fuehrer must not be questioned!

If you think they are suckers and losers, you don't mind throwing them under the bus. Obviously, the Trump supporters here share Trump's belief. Not surprising.

Anti-military are free to groan this Heritage.com article:

Both Parties Need to Stop Disenfranchising Military Voters
Democrats and Republicans likely won't agree on much this election year. But here is one thing on which they should agree and take action: ending the single largest legal disenfranchisement of voters in America.

Those disenfranchised voters are the brave Americans serving overseas in the U.S. military. Under the rules of both parties, they are unable to vote in the selection process for presidential delegates in the many states that hold caucuses to pick those delegates.

There are now more than 200,000 military personnel serving overseas, and more than 1.4 million in the armed forces, who could potentially be required to serve overseas.

Yet those Americans serving overseas, and in many cases risking their lives, were unable to vote in party caucuses in 15 states that held caucuses instead of primaries in 2012, including Arizona, Hawaii, Iowa, Minnesota, Colorado, Nevada, Maine, Utah, Idaho, Kansas, Nebraska, North Dakota, Wyoming, Alaska, Washington, Florida, Missouri and Michigan.

These Americans, if they are Democrats or Republicans and are serving in uniform, can be denied the ability to cast a ballot to select their own party's nominee for commander in chief. How has this been overlooked?....

Unfortunately, that is exactly what is happening.

This isn't the first election Washington politicians have sought to disenfranchise our men and women in uniform to the applause of political partisans.

Military voters have long been disenfranchised—both at the state and federal level—by a
voting process that fails to recognize the unique
challenges created by a military voter’s transitory
existence or the delays associated with delivering
an absentee ballot to a war zone halfway around
the world. Given these soldiers’ daily sacrifices
and their willingness to defend this nation’s freedom, it is incumbent on Americans to remedy this
problem and provide U.S. soldiers with the same
rights they are being asked to protect. Unless Congress (and the states) finally act to remedy this
problem, military personnel will continue to be
the largest group of disenfranchised voters in the
United States.

In recent elections, only 5 to 20 percent of
eligible military voters cast absentee ballots
that were counted.
• This shockingly low participation rate is as
severe as any in our nation’s history, including that which resulted in the passage of the
Voting Rights Act of 1965 to strike down barriers to voting for black Americans.
• The major reason for this disenfranchisement is the transient lives of military voters,
the Pentagon’s failure to provide these voters with timely registration and absentee
voting assistance, and the delays associated with mailing ballots to and from
remote locations and war zones.
• These problems could be alleviated with a
comprehensive solution that: (1) designates certain military offices as voter registration agencies; (2) mandates that all
absentee ballots be mailed to military personnel at least 45 days prior to the election;
and (3) requires the military to provide
expedited return of completed absentee
ballots by international express mail.

Very true. They are faux patriots. Every Veteran's and Memorial Day they haul out their flags and petty platitudes. The rest of the time, they don't give a shit about them.

They certainly are now. It wasn't always that way. It's been heading that way since 2000 and the Swiftboating of McCain.

Now Republicans are openly favoring a draft-dodger over active-duty military personnel, the very people who have sworn to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

Kinda like you saying a WWII veteran flies his flag on a stripper pole for attention, right?

Because of the squabbles in Washington, military voters are being disenfranchised and ignored.

https://www.fairvote.org/one-in-four-military-voters-disenfranchised
One in Four Military Voters Disenfranchised
military personnel and some civilians hailing from these states requested 441,000 ballots in order to vote from overseas locations, as allowed by the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA). Of those, 98,633 were never received back by the election officials in the U.S. and so were declared "lost" ballots. Another 13,504 were received but rejected for various reasons including a missing signature or failure to notarize, as is required in some states. When combined, these two categories amount to 112,137 voters in those seven states-or 25.42% of the 441,000 who requested ballots-being disenfranchised

Do you support arresting military members for voter fraud as Trump has listed them?

https://electionlawblog.org/?p=118278
Here is a military spouse who the Trump campaign has baselessly accused of committing voter fraud in a Nevada lawsuit. When Christian Adams’ PILF made similar accusations calling legal voters “aliens,” they got sued and Adams had to apologize to settle the case.

^ Unsubstantiated claim.
A lot of message boarders here have been on the receiving end of false accusations, misrepresentations, bogus innuendo.

McEnany had with her the 234 pages of affidavits she said came from Wayne County, Michigan, and brandished them as proof on several occasions while berating the media she accused of ignoring the reports.

'We keep hearing the drum beat of where is the evidence but right here 234 pages of sworn affidavits, from real people, real allegations, signed with notaries,' she said.

'In one county, Wayne County, Michigan, in one batch of ballots, 60 percent had the same signatures, 35 had no voter record but were counted anyway, 50 ballots were run multiple times through a machine.

'One woman said her son was deceased but still voted,' she added.

'This is one county where our poll watchers were threatened with racial harassment, pushed out of the way, and Democratic challengers were handing out documents saying how to distract GOP challengers.
'
How many military voters is McEnany falsely accusing of voter fraud, comrade "draft-dodger supporter" anatta?

I'm sure you remember how Clinton was tarred with the draft-dodger brush, right? Funny how that only matters if the POTUS comes with a (D) after his name.

The real irony here is that most of those votes were probably for the #LameDuck45.

I actually have the post that he's referring to, from back on Amazon. I made a general statement mocking those who stick flags on their trucks, the asses of their jeans, and have giant stripper poles in their front yards to virtue-signal their patriotism. Apparently RB's father once had such a pole and thus I personally attacked him and denigrated his service. For realz.

And they call US snowflakes.
