Good news about deficit

i was not wrong, if i was, i would readily admit it as i always do when i am wrong. you're just continuing this stupidity because you are a hypocrite and simply can't admit it and you still won't admit you were wrong about claiming i misinterpreted and twisted your post. you rarely, if ever, admit you're wrong, you were blatently wrong here and won't address or admit it....and that you don't see your hypocrisy on standing by what i said, you're more of a hack than i thought.

Oh, look. It's Yurt calling someone a hypocrite. Like the sun rising in the east . . .

Now you're in uber-defensive Yurt troll mode. You most certainly were wrong. In no way, shape or form was I saying that the "trend" was toward a double-dip.

You knew that before, though, and you know it now. You just don't know how to take the easy route, and admit you mis-read something.

he is being a hypocrite, sorry if the truth bothers you, just because you're a whiner about me calling out people's hypocrisy doesn't mean i am going to stop....

and really, until you stop calling people hypocrite, you really have no ground to stand on, just hypocritical whining on your part

here it is, more projection

still can't admit you're patently wrong about me twisting your words (my blatent use of two question marks and a question mark smilie), yet you hypocritically whine about me

:gives:

I wasn't projecting. I never said the trend was toward a double-dip. However, you kept asserting that this is what I said. This represents "twisting words."

I have shown no hypocrisy, whatsoever. I stand by what I say when I'm right, and do not & admit it when I am wrong. In this case, I am not wrong. I never said the trend was toward a double-dip. Period.

For the love of all that is holy (ie... alcohol, women, ESPN) would you shut the fuck up with this petty ass shit?

It is blatantly obvious to anyone who has read the thread that Yurt either misread Lorax's post or he is deliberately twisting it.

Lorax clearly stated that he thought the TREND was IMPROVING. He then went on to say that though the TREND was IMPROVING, he understood that there was still the possibility for a double dip.

and how did he know there is "still" a risk of a double dip? answer: trends show it

that is why i said he inherently said it, he just didn't realize it or doesn't know what he is talking about...do keep up

Well, maybe you didn't mis-read anything. Maybe you're just dumb.

I can think of very few trends that don't bear risk of alternate possibilities. If I was of the opinion that trends showed we were heading for a double-dip, I might just as easily say "though there is a possibiity of avoiding that."

Yikes.

Incorrect. A warning sign does not indicate a trend.

It is like saying the trend in CO is for the month of June to be warm. Yet, I acknowledge the fact that it could snow/hail on any given day in June in CO.

Stating that we know an outlier MIGHT occur, does not make that outlier a TREND.

interesting, because forbes and mish's said the trend pointed to a double dip

That's a completely separate argument. You are always trying to shift the goal posts.

Not surprisingly, there is disagreement in the economic community on where the trends are headed. That has nothing to do with my actual opinion on the matter, as it was stated, and twisted by you.

no its not, its germane, as i said you inherently said it or you don't know what you're talking about

I am not agreeing with Lorax's comment that the trend is improving. I think we will see a double dip. But that is not the point. The point is Lorax stated he thought the TREND was IMPROVING.

HE DID NOT SAY THE TREND WAS TOWARDS A DOUBLE DIP.

THAT is the point yurt. What others believe will occur is irrelevant. The point is you misinterpreted what LORAX's point was.

It's not germane; it's a separate argument. And even on that argument, you don't have much of a leg to stand on; like I said, there is disagreement in the economic community. I never said "there is unanimous consensus that the trends are positive for avoiding double-dip." Clearly, that wouldn't be true. I think the news of the past few weeks has tipped the scales in that community, however.

You have said, quite a few times now, that my reference to a danger of double-dip means that MY opinion is that the trends are toward a double-dip.

You were wrong.

You should take your own advice. The odds of Yurt admitting that he was wrong are slim and none, and slim just left town.
