Gold Star Wife Drops Challenge On Nike, Kaepernick: ‘Meet Me And My Son At Arlington’

That would be dumb. I'd at most issue a statement thanking her son and her for their sacrifices, and then say,
thank you for the freedom to take a knee, which is a freedom he died to protect.

He oughtta just ignore the entire "thing" and stick to his own agenda in the community. Fuck her, if this indeed sprung up from her alone.

It doesn't make any difference what you do or don't tell others what to do or think.

What you tell others isn't the point. What you say and claim to believe IS the point. If you don't want others analyzing your posts, you sure as Hell shouldn't be posting on a message board.

I have no fucking idea how you arrive at some of the shit you say, but when I find it offensive, I'm going to say something about it regardless of what you think about it.

As you should. Nor should you be offended when someone does it to you. Either way it is not up to others to put words in others mouths or tell them how they think.

If you had some we could test that hypothesis. Here you are again telling someone else what they think and feel while decrying posters telling someone else what they think and feel.

I am not telling you what you think. Only what you posted. Your words, not mine.

So this isn't even someone that fought in a war. It's someone with loss from war that thinks they're victimized, because a black man uses his status to send a message. Sorry but that's probably one of the most noble uses of status I can think of, is to help the world. If you're too butthurt to understand it, ignore it. They aren't doing any of it for you, so check the ego's, and stop deciding what peoples intentions are. Protests aren't suppose to cater, the whole point of a protest is to be seen, and rally support. You want him to do it on his own time, but there is nothing to protest on his own time. North Korea, and other tyrant nations say you have to pledge to country, so it's funny to see people that claim to love freedom, want conformity on such a pointless issue of butthurt egotism.

In truth America hasn't even had a war to maintain or freedom, since the last world war. If I wanted to be mad about something, it would be over these politically motivated, muscle flexing conquests, across the world, sending loved ones to die needlessly.

Fentoine. I am not going to entertain your hissy fits here. Anyone can read what you posted and make up their own minds. You can let it drop or keep it in the forefront. Your call.

I think I'll let others read through the thread chronologically. You say you come for legit debate, then you behave like liquid mercury escaping just such. You're dropped, free to go settle into the lowest crack you can sink to.

Good. It will be clear as day.

You liberals are stupid.
Read what this asshole said.

"I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses Black people and people of color"

He said "COUNTRY," NOWHERE in that statement did he even mention police!
Aren't you liberals part of this "country"? This asshole is protesting you too, isn't he?

This "COUNTRY" is NOT oppressing blacks any more than Asians, Hispanics, Whites or any other race. Every American has the same opportunity to achieve success, don't they?

Let me ask you liberals this hypothetical question.
Being adopted (by a white family to boot), what would you say if he was protesting abortion? Wouldn't you think adoptees would be glad they weren't aborted?
I'd bet many of you would change your opinion of him then, wouldn't you?

He has talked about the police. You cherry-picked one comment.

What are some of the specific things you believe need to change?

CK:
There's a lot of things that need to change. One specifically? Police brutality. There's people being murdered unjustly and not being held accountable. People are being given paid leave for killing people. That's not right. That's not right by anyone's standards.

What are some of the specific things you believe need to change?

CK: There is police brutality. People of color have been targeted by police. So that’s a large part of it and they’re government officials. They are put in place by the government. So that’s something that this country has to change. There’s things we can do to hold them more accountable. Make those standards higher. You have people that practice law and are lawyers and go to school for eight years, but you can become a cop in six months and don’t have to have the same amount of training as a cosmetologist. That’s insane. Someone that’s holding a curling iron has more education and more training than people that have a gun and are going out on the street to protect us.

So many people see the flag as a symbol of the military. How do you view it and what do you say to those people?

CK:
I have great respect for the men and women that have fought for this country. I have family, I have friends that have gone and fought for this country. And they fight for freedom, they fight for the people, they fight for liberty and justice, for everyone. That's not happening. People are dying in vain because this country isn't holding their end of the bargain up, as far as giving freedom and justice, liberty to everybody. That's something that's not happening. I've seen videos, I've seen circumstances where men and women that have been in the military have come back and been treated unjustly by the country they have fought for, and have been murdered by the country they fought for, on our land. That's not right.
