I am a huge Johnny Rotten/Lydon fan, but if you are expecting consistent policies from him, you are barking up the wrong tree.
I posted it because I like the tune, and the Queen's demise gave me an excuse.
Not a fan of monarchies, despotism or fucking fascists, but Queen Elizabeth II was a good woman. King Charles is a putz who betrayed his one wife. Jus' sayin'.

She was doing something right if she was on the throne for 73 years and the British people still generally liked her.

She visited over 120 countries during her reign- but shunned Israel. She protected her morality throughout.
When she was coronated queen , Israel was just five years old and had already killed and displaced hundreds of thousands of indigenous Palestinians.
A curse upon her government for allowing it.

She was in the throne for 70 years, her coronation was in 1952.
Watching the news reports reminded me that she reinvented the place of royalty from WWII to present.

The English had the good sense to put a collar and leash on their monarchs after the 17th century's Glorious Revolution and the liberal reforms of the 19th century. British monarchs were relatively tame and neutered by world standards, and they were thus unlikely to generate the amount of hate and resentment true autocrats like the Russian tsars and Hapsburg emperors did.
Why have a monarchy at all?
My understanding is that after Cromwell's dictatorship, there was a sense that England needed to return to it's traditional social system.
It's been on autopilot since then
Germany went from a King to a dictator back in the 20th Century. Swapping out dictators, be they monarchs or not, is not the solution to a free people, IMHO.
Another perspective is that Germany went from an emperor to a democracy (Weimar republic), which was then subverted by a Nazi coup.

In Great Britain's case- They turned their rendition of Monarchy into a Humanitarian and Public Relations cause and effort.
Sometimes, I wish America had the very same setup!
The Queen was an exception to the rule of politics! She didn't involve herself to politics. The queen proved government can be Conservative and compassionate at the same time- SOMETHING AMERICA JUST CAN'T SEEM TO ACCOMPLISH! NOT MENTIONING ANY NAMES HERE!
Humanitarian efforts in Great Britain do not have to stall in the House of Commons due to political agenda- Like it does here in Congress sometimes.
The Queen pretty much had all the purse strings she needed to fill the humanitarian needs of her country- NO QUESTIONS ASKED!
And the Great people of Great Britain seems to accept the Queens role in dolling out fund relief to those in need without making the funding of such- SLAM BANG political theater!

Americans dance too close to the concept of royalty as it is; political royalty and Hollywood royalty....words that make me gag.
What people are saying when they say "royalty" is that a certain group of people have rights more powerful than others simply by birthright. That's completely antithetical to American ideas.
Do we really want someone in Congress because of their birthright? To be President? Dispensing mandatory advice because of who their family is, not individual achievement?
Consider Prince Andrew; how long did the Royal family hide his crimes?
While I agree some members of Hollywood, political families and British royalty have used their position for good, it doesn't erase the harm they've caused simply because they were born with the privilege of doing it.
Germans voted for it just like Russians voted for Putin and Americans voted for Trump.
