Global warming is a GOOD thing!

The sad thing is it will probably just further consolidate the wealth arrround this world. It will be the poor who suffer the most.

I think this is why the neo cons want it ignored.

the easiest thing to do is wave that flag in moron right wingers face.
How about actually doing something

The report says emissions of carbon, which comes primarily from fossil fuels, must stabilize by 2015 and go down after that. Otherwise the consequences could be "disastrous," said IPCC chairman Rajendra Pachauri.

well we'll have to wait til Bush Oil Man is out before we really search for alternative energy.

There is nothing stopping you or anyone else buying alternative energy. Multi-millionaire Al Gore does buy SOME green energy for example.
The reason you don't is the same reason as me and most people, because price is the most important variable to you.

But the price of fossil fuels is not reflective of the cost nor are the benefits of alternative energy sources reflected in their price. We've had this discussion before. You conveniently ignore the fact of externalities.

you do realize that Bush has pumped more into alt energy R&D than any other previous administration? Not to say that we shouldn't be doing more, but you should at least be aware of that.

once, I believe in Human caused global warming more than anyone on the board and am actually doing something about it.

Here is a breif of a article from NASA. Read up chicken littles.

http://newsbusters.org/blogs/noel-s...part-global-warming-myth-will-media-report-it

How about the 19000 scientists and climetoligists that signed a world wide petition sayin that man is not the cause.

How about that show on the DIS channel called "Global warning"--when they talk about the methane gas 80% of the show, and tell us it is 26 times more of a green house effect than CO2----The went to the ocean, and showed us methane gas bubbles comeing from the ocean floor (I guess they assume they found all of the bubbles in the world--and then blame CO2)--then at the end, they only talk about how to control CO2.

I strongly believe we are being duped by the greens again. They rarely have much real scientific evidence to back their claims. But they have deep pockets, the media--and a population that believes doom and gloom every time.

This is not a thread about AGW.

This is a thread about how climate change sucks, and will require us to adjust in a wide variety of ways.
