Glen Beck regrets being divisive

What I found on the last forum I was on is that there were people that were able to draw me into useless, pointless, nasty back & forth stuff that didn't move the discussion forward, were alienating to others on the forum, and because we ended up repeating the same thing over and over weren't in the least enlightening.

When I put a couple people on ignore there, the quality of my contributions improved. I could "unhide" their comments on a case by case basis in case I thought there was a reason to read it and respond (based on other people's comments)

If I can manage not to get into that same muckhole on this forum while not ignoring anyone, I will. But if I find myself tempted into the same dark morass too often, then I will ignore them.
I find I can do the same thing by just simply not responding to idiots. Though sometimes temptation gets the better of me, I normally just don't respond to peolple like 007, Racist X, Novass, etc, on the rational of "you've accomplished nothing when you've bested a fool".

Once again, you prove not only that you are wiser than me but that you have much better self control. But I, a mere apprentice on this board, will do my best to learn from your example and emulate you...

And actually, I do mean that; you are following the best strategy. I'll see if I can do it too or if I need the artificial help of the ignore option...

After watching what the republican party has done over the last decade or two its been proven they will follow idiotic lies if everyone just looks at the lies and says "Oh that is so stupid no one would believe it".

They have proven they will believe completely idiotic clap trap if no one counters it with facts.

Even idiots have to be held to the standard of facts.

No lie should stand without having to be confronted by FACTS

Obama calling the opposition the enemy is divisive.
That is a fact.

Its no different here and you'll probably end doing the same thing again....you can show people video of some R of D saying something and some ass
will just come back with a flat out denial of it or ignore what he just seen with his own eyes completely.....

Here you go.
Spin this one, then we shall address the next.

Normally I do not watch Youtube videos, because too often they are edited and chopped and out of context. But, I gave this one a "go." What he said was "IF Latinos sit out the election saying they will reward friends and punish enemies..." it's going to be harder. HE never said ANYONE was HIS enemy. He DID say to get things done he needed help from congress, both democrats and republicans. BOY, sure was divisive! If that's the best you have for your litany of charges - you failed.

Do politicians (of all stripes) sometimes refer to people holding opposition views as enemies? SURE! if that is a surprise to you, you need to pay more attention.

Obama gives a great speech saying all the things Republicans say he should be saying on race and responsibility, and by the time Drudge finishes, they make is sound like he said just the opposite. It's nice for those of us that care about reality that we have the original statements to check. But, in my experience, there are far too many people that just listen to people that say what they want to hear and stop right there.

Mott is definitely smart, but he hardly proved he is wiser. He is stating his opinion, it works for him. Doesn't make it gospel.
