Ginsburg says she regrets comments on Trump

Obama didn't attack anyone personally.

"With all due deference to separation of powers, last week the Supreme Court reversed a century of law that, I believe, will open the floodgates for special interests, including foreign corporations, to spend without limit in our elections," Obama said.

"I don't think American elections should be bankrolled by America's most powerful interests or, worse, by foreign entities. They should be decided by the American people. And I urge Democrats and Republicans to pass a bill that helps correct some of these problems."
that what was Alito was saying "no" too. Also the problem is there is no way to place limits on special interests. They invariably violate the 1st.
Public financing is the only way out.

I think RBG should throw down and say she'll resign just as soon as the con Senators approve Merrick Garland to take Scalia's place.

Cons already aren't doing the job they were elected to do so why should they be rewarded for it?

People who live in glass mentalities shouldn't throw stones. Weird that the same band of brilliant judicial scholars who selected one of the bottom five presidents in our history, can help destroy a nation with a fool, but a judge who calls a spade a spade is called out for it. Funny how being PC is a right wing tool when it fits their needs. Trump is a fake, well maybe as it is difficult to know if he has the intelligence to even know that? He just feeds the crowd mentality.

The demagogue is one who preaches doctrines he knows to be untrue to men he knows to be idiots." H. L. Mencken

"Mr. Trump does not offer any real policies for creating jobs, and he has been faulted for his treatment of his own employees, but he does at least talk about the pain people are feeling. That’s more than can be said for Mr. Pence. Take the Carrier heating equipment factory in Mr. Pence’s own state. When it announced this year that it would move to Mexico and cut 1,400 Indiana jobs, Mr. Trump predicted that if he were president, Carrier would call “within 24 hours,” to say, “‘Sir, we’ve decided to stay in the United States.’”

What was Mr. Pence doing while workers in his state were worrying about their futures? He and the State Legislature were busy waging battle against same-sex marriage and passing the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, seen as a means for businesses to deny services to same-sex couples. The law was amended within days, after a national uproar and a corporate boycott that tourism officials estimated cost Indiana’s economy at least $60 million in lost convention business.

Mr. Pence was running for re-election until he got the nod from Mr. Trump; the union representing Carrier’s steelworkers had endorsed his opponent. A Trump-Pence ticket “would be a hell of a team,” Chuck Jones, the union’s leader, said sarcastically. “All we need is a circus tent.""

She wasn't wrong about Trump, she was wrong as a sitting Justice to have taken sides in public on an electoral contest.

Clearly she knows that. She must resign for her apology to have any meaning.

I don't think she did anything wrong. IMO Trump is so dangerous, and highly abnormal. But what we are witnessing is the normalization of Trump. The media has been playing this game, probably because they want a real race it's good for ratings, possibly their hatred of Hillary plays a role, and...I've wondered how much of it is due to "he can't be that bad, we know him in NY. we drank his booze". You are talking about stupid people you know.

Anyway, anyone who recognizes just how dangerous and abnormal Trump is and refuses to play into "nothing to see here, this is all normal" is a hero in my book.

Am I surprised to find an emotionally overwrought anatta having a sputtering, spitting meltdown and shrieking for her head?

Nah.
I don't think she did anything wrong.
of course not -your partisan mind cannot conceive of improprieties if it's done by a liberal judge.
she recanted ..why? for no reason?

completely missing the point SCOTUS does not partake in electoral politics- they have ultimate say -
and the only way to have any confidence of impartiality is for them to stay impartial.

POTUS invariably comes forth in SCOTUS cases.

It is funny that KKKhristiefan seems afraid to take on her buddy Legion Fag who disagrees with her on this issue. Maybe she is being a good loyal soldier afraid to go against her leader. I just hope he didn't share personal information with her like Darla did

LOL Well, not everyone can be brainy like me. You dumb fucks got emo with each other within a day. Oh I remember the gushing and received some hilarious PM's myself. Now moi, I am the type they call a cuthroat bitch. I played a game with yurt when we, along with Damo, were wolves together. We swept the game and worked well together. Yurt tried to get all emo like you and your team did. I cut him off two seconds after the game ended and called him a titmouse on the board.

It resulted in months of thread after thread whining and complaining that Darla had betrayed yurt after being nice to him during werewolf.

But it wasn't a betrayal. I behave situationally but never forget who I'm speaking with. Of course, you do need some smarts to do that.

Your team went full emo. You included. Stop crying about it and learn what a man does, then attempt to replicate that.

Trump isn't "dangerous", Hillary is. Four years of a Trump presidency is an unknown, whereas four years of Hillary is a matter of record: dishonest and irresponsible, above the law incompetence. No thanks!

If it is unknown how do you know it isn't dangerous?

Yeah, it's being exposed as successful. Scary.

Not really. He ran the Taj into the ground. Multiple bankruptcies. Many smaller business failures.

He knows how to work debt in his favor & con people. Madoff was the same way, and I wouldn't want him running the country.

He does surround himself with very competent and loyal people, I think that is his talent, he is a narcissist and is very charming, until you cross him, then look out.

He invested capital and lost some, but his successes have far overshadowed his losses. That's business. You risk capital. In his case his risks have almost always paid off. He's no Madoff.

Hillary is the Madoff. The difference is, she is getting away with her crimes because people like you are ok with it. No, I take that back, you are not just Ok with it, you don't fing care.
