I don't have an opinion on this guy....what do you guys think? seems to me he has as much controversy surrounding him as hillary clinton, eg, he won't win
 
In know he was leading the impeachment of Bill Clinton while in a bitter divorce with his wife wherein he lied about how much money he was spending on his intern girlfriend during a deposition.

No, he was persecuting someone for doign something he was doing. Had Bill Clinton been doing the same thing he would have had to be calling someone else out for it.

so bill clinton was not a hypocrite? they were both having extra marital affairs, they will make great presidents!!! it didn't matter how many he had, you support him, so what if gingrich bitch about clinton but had one himself.....what politican doesn't bitch about what the other side does and then turns around and does it himself? can you link to where gingrich was found to have perjured himself....

And this, is why I always insist that candidates have a fairly clean image before we select them to run for office. No known morons such as Palin, and no known characters that are in disrepair such as Newt. There are always other people who can champion such core ideals as sound fiscal policy.

He does have some posatives... He agreed with Bill Clinton's budget and allowed it to pass... resulting in the great economy of the late 90's. He also supporeted the Clinton policies that resulted in the HUGE surplus that existed when GWB took over the presidency.

Let's straighten out your fucking lies here, one more time...

Newt Gingrich did not persecute or prosecute Clinton or anyone else, he was the Speaker of the US House of Representatives during the period of time when Bill Clinton was being investigated by independent special prosecutor, Ken Star.

The difference between what Clinton did and what Gingrich did, was Gingrich didn't lie under oath to a federal grand jury, and Clinton did. That was the reason Clinton was being investigated by Ken Star, not because he had an extramarital affair. Had Gingrich lied under oath (committed perjury), then a special prosecutor would have investigated him as well, and he would have likely been indicted. There is no crime in having an extramarital affair, and it is logically impossible to prosecute someone for it.
