Gillum wins Florida governor primary in upset victory for the left

Lc #47

Republican economics is quite simple.

a) Cut taxes.

b) Add $gargantuan $sums to the U.S. $federal $debt.

c) Make the grandkids pay for the prosperity we're stealing from them.

Our deficit spending dishonors us all.

:lolup:Willful moron thinks the Democratic Party of the Jackass doesn't ALWAYS massively add to the Federal debt. :rofl2:

Got it.

Black mayor = they investigate when he does what they have previously done for decades.

:lolup:Thar she blows!!!:rofl2:

Still very curious about which issues are too far left and progressive???????????????????

Well, if you'll notice I said "probably". I said that because at the time, I didn't really know what his positions are. Mostly, I figured because of his association with and endorsement by Bernie Sanders, he was likely farther left than I was comfortable with.

Since then I've visited his website and his positions seem reasonable enough for me, if he is being 100% up front about them.

Medicaid expansion, gun control, legal weed, environmental protection, etc, etc are all issues I agree with him on.

As long as he doesn't start trying to force businesses to pay teenagers who work part time after school at fast food places $15 an hour, or to force businesses to allow men who claim to identify as women to use women's public restrooms, or provide free everything for everyone, then I'm pretty much on board.

LOL at Vox's headlines trying to paint the winner of a democrat over another democrat in a democratic primary as some great big upset win for the left. Guess they are desperate for a click bait headline to get traffic off the aggregation sites.

The guy who won is a Bernie Sanders type progressive democrat. They guy he beat was a more main stream "establishment" democrat. If you're a progressive this was a pretty big deal

you need to look at the national polls on his ideas

he is onto mainstream ideas

you are stuck in the past
