Germany begins dismantling wind farm for coal

German energy giant RWE has begun dismantling a wind farm to make way for a further expansion of an open-pit lignite coal mine in the western region of North Rhine Westphalia.

One wind turbine has already been dismantled, with a further seven scheduled for removal to excavate an additional 15m to 20m tonnes of so-called ‘brown’ coal, the most polluting energy source.

Hey Greta....embrace the suck:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

Funny how the only thing black you have respect for is COAL!

Actually, not funny- BUT SAD!

That's our major concern now--
how Deutschland is choosing to produce energy.

We've finally got our own shit completely figured out.:palm:

I remember how many buildings converted from coal to oil furnaces when I was a boy in the 1950s.

Then years later, many of the same ones converted again, this time to natural gas.

That took a lot of smelly coal and oil trucks off the crowded city streets.
