Georgia RICO - 5 years, mandatory prison.

Georgia’s RICO statue has a 5 year minimum mandatory prison sentence.

Anyone convicted must be sentenced to a minimum of 5 years in prison.

18 sentences with a minimum of 5 years if convicted? Awesome!

I expect the trial to be labeled "The Trial of the Century" by the media.

If Trump is even a bit smart, he'll make his campaign about giving the government and all these courts the finger. He'll win by a wide margin. His campaign slogan should become Vote for me because FUCK THE GOVERNMENT!

The Left would go absolutely apeshit bonkers insane if he did that. Bet his poll numbers would go up markedly too.
Even though you deny it, your continual support of oath-breakers is clear for all to see, Terry.

Why do you hate democracy so much that you want to tear down our country and install a White Nationalist dictatorship?

IT will be amazing. I fear it might be moved to the Federal Court and not televised.

Yes he can!

Are u really that fucking stupid

You are really that fucking stupid.

No the Governor DOES NOT have pardon power in Georgia.

It is held by a Pardon Board who cannot act or even consider a pardon until the person has completed their entire sentence and has gone 5 years after release not committing any crimes. Then and only then can they consider a pardon.

If you "got trump" on election day as you claim why all this? You lie to yourself a lot dont you?

Its clearly the aftermath of the crimes he committed in reaction to having been kicked out. Us getting him, sent him into a spiral of a crime spree that is now being delt with.

The man reacted so badly to losing, he went into a criminal tailspin, that he racked up the possibility of 100 years in prison.

So you didn't "get trump" on election day as you claimed.

Not a lawyer, but while the Feds may jump in and take the case, the State still has the right to put the criminals on trial.

Due to the politics, I doubt the feds will get involved until after the trial in Georgia and, probably, Arizona.

Imagine supporting a candidate that has to use the courts to get rid of political opposition

Who is doing that?

Nobody is doing that, but we all know how right-wingers use talking points. If it comes out of Trump's ass, it comes out of their mouths. Just like children repeating what they're told to.

If Trump is even a bit smart, he'll make his campaign about giving the government and all these courts the finger. He'll win by a wide margin. His campaign slogan should become Vote for me because FUCK THE GOVERNMENT!

That would make the rabid right-wing droolers happy and maybe even win him the primary, but it would flop hard with the rest of the country including swing voters and the moderate Republicans who abandoned him and his looney shit in '20 and would do it again in '24.

The problem with the rabid, drooling right, is that pissing off the left is the thing they care about more than anything else. They are people who are too immature, both emotionally and intellectually, to put the good of the country and the world ahead of their hatred for people who see things differently than they do.

Not saying the left is perfect, it's far from it.

But Trump is not the answer.

This time it will be up to a judge, there is a federal law that says if a defendant was in public office when the crime was allegedly committed he can have the case moved to federal court IF his actions were conducted as part of his office.

NOt sure how that would play out.

Trump may try to do that to delay the trial. The last thing he wants is a trial before the election.
