Geithner's Plan

ANOTHER TRILLION....

for a bailout....

when is it going to end? when the tax cheat says....this is disgusting

It will end when it is "fully funded".

The Keynesians tried this in Japan, what, 10 or 12 years ago? Did it work for them?

Well I know probably more than most people on this board, but what's important is that I am capable of understanding how relatively little that really is. If anyone wants to debate drug policy, the 2nd amendment or entitlement spending with me I will talk circles around you, but this is not an issue where I am particularly well informed.

I could certainly lecture desh or uscitizen on economics, but that hardly makes me some great authority. The beginning of wisdom is recognizing and admitting your own ignorance.
And I agree with you on that. Its funny to see what USC, Desh, or Watermark for that matter (although its hard to tell how informed he is, since he usually just trolls) post on the economy. Dixie is also a riot.

Truer words have not been spoken.

Yeah they have - Aristotle is the author of them. :pke:

The Federal Reserve Bank of New York this week sold $1.3 billion worth of mortgage-backed securities from the Maiden Lane II portfolio it acquired from American International Group in 2008. The once toxic portfolio of AIG assets now has a market value of $15.9 billion.

I miss you...
