One thing that surprises me, is the women. The majority seem to love the idea of their Fathers transferring 'ownership' of themselves to the Husband. I'm sure in the Past, women were incapable of feeding themselves or fending for themselves, but in this day and age, you would think more women would have some kind of personal pride in themselves.
