Paid $4.40/gallon today. Fvck. Has gas risen in the last couple of weeks for everyone else or is this a California special?

It's up about 25 cents ($3.45 today) over the last two weeks here. Again those jokers use every excuse the can to raise gas prices. Today Egypt, tomorrow whatever... And topper ain't here to tell me any different.

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Just in time for the Fourth of July, a new hike in the California gas tax is kicking in Monday.
Prices are going up 3.5 cents. California drivers were already paying 36 cents a gallon in state taxes, but the hike means drivers will pay 39.5 cents. Including the other local, state and federal taxes, California drivers will be paying 72 cents in taxes on each gallon alone, making for the highest prices in the nation.

:palm:
One reason we are fucked in California......

Reduce demand.....supply goes up.....price goes down.

Get rid of your gas guzzlers, buy economy cars or hybrids.....or, if you have the finances....get a Volt or a Tesla....Ford has one coming out too.

Back up to 4.00 a gallon here in NY.

was $1.37 the day Obama was Elected... 300% increase.

How much was it during Bush's last year in office?
Oh, zero % increase.
Huh, it has taken two Obama terms to come back up to the level it was during Bush's 2nd term.

Hmm, seems like Obama did a good job keeping the price down.

Thanks for pointing out Obama's success and reminding us of Bush's failure.

You are not that bright are you?

But then, you voted for a B-grade movie actor for the most powerful political position in the world, so why expect you to be smart?

You're implying we're the sole, or even largest, demand market. We're not. India and China are.

Prices have increased a bit in the near term, but aren't too high as a general matter:

Bush's last year? Easy... $ 1.37 in November of 2008

had been up to a high of $3.90 or 4.00 and within 6 months was back down to about $1.37

Have a look.... here is the Historical Data:

http://gasbuddy.com/gb_retail_price_chart.aspx

Prices are just about where they were when Bush was President... yet where is the uproar from the Left?

All we heard in 2008 was "BUSH & BIG OIL"

I guess now it's "OBAMA LOVES BIG OIL!!!"

You must remain consistent if this was about price in 2008... it's about Price today.

I am consistent. It has taken 5 years to return to Bush level. Meanwhile, thanks to "quantitative easing ( Bush appointee) Money is worth so much less than it was in 08 that it is a bargain at $4
