Gas prices -- how low can they go?

Oil prices are finally starting to come down a bit. The reason has nothing to do with investors. It has everything to do with COURT ORDER that requires Biden to finally permit drilling.

Exploration and drilling takes many years, and has no impact on todays prices. Maybe the oil giants should start drilling with the leases they currently hold but do not use.

Maybe there's nothing to be found on those leases? Can exploration begin before the land is leased?

There are thousands of unused leases, hard to imagine that they are all empty of oil. But, you demand more leasing expecting that to solve todays gas prices?

I expect it to solve OUR need to buy oil from other countries.

You don't think the oil & gas companies haven't braced themselves for Biden's economic disaster of a plan?

You are making one feeble excuse after another. Why not consider the oil companies themselves. Its to their advantage and profit, to not drill, to keep prices as high as possible. Its always going to be profits over people.

Why would it be to their advantage not to drill? Why are you making excuses for Biden's economic disaster?

By not drilling they maintain a high price for our gas.
Now what economic disaster- Employment numbers are very strong, the number of open positions is extremely high.

"Commerce did two studies that address these issues: a ban on hydraulic fracturing and a ban on drilling on federal lands and offshore areas. In both cases, the effects are devastating, with huge losses to the economy, higher energy prices, and lower employment.

Biden’s policies would produce similar effects on the oil industry as the coronavirus pandemic and the Saudi-Russia price war, only in Biden’s case, demand for oil products would still be strong and the United States would become dependent on foreign oil again, making Saudi Arabia and Russia jubilant, but increasing U.S. energy prices and putting our national security in danger."

I am a Progressive (non UTOPIAN) , I call myself a Zen Socialist, so I am for instance in favor of nationalization of the railroads and medical system, but I said no such thing here.
When you complained about US oil companies selling their oil on the global oil market you were attacking capitalism.

There is no law of the free market that says a US oil company has to produce and refine domestic oil specifically for your gas tank.

If you want domestic oil resources put under the control of the American government, your fellow Trump ass-lickers are going to call you a communist.

They couldn't until now, thanks to the court order. Yes...it has an impact on today's prices.

You are ignoring price discovery again.
