A 96% increase under Obama is "a bit"? Did you blame Obama for that? Did you credit Bush when prices dropped?

Obama's party lost the 2010 midterms because he shut down drilling in the Gulf of Mexico. That raised oil prices and dragged down the economy. Later, in 2014, the Republican Congress had to drag that boy kicking and screaming to allow fracking, which drove down oil prices. In 2008, jihadist OPEC raised prices to $140 a barrel. That's what caused the Great Recession, but that's not what you're told did that.
