Gallup: 2012 Election Trial Heat

Meaning if the election were held right now Obama would win Florida.

actually, holding the election before the campaign begins is about his only shot at re-election.....

The unemployment rate in the entire State of michigan would be around 20% had Republicans had their way and let GM & Chrysler go bankrupt.

did you notice that the union that currently holds a controlling interest in GM last month laid off all the workers making Volts pending a decision later this month on whether production will be continued?......the unemployment in Michigan WILL BE 20% again if we don't get rid of Obama.....

for the rest, I'll remember the predictions you made last year about Wisconsin politics and rest assured that whatever you say, we can expect the opposite.....

Looks to me like its going to be a close election, I would say that anyone, including Postmodern Prophet, would be idiotic to be very sure of the outcome at this point.

And ditzie realizes Herman Cain will also not be President after this election. yet you brought it up...

I dont know if Dixie realizes that or not, he still belvies there are WMD in Iraq. He has not admitted he was wrong, he has simply ignored the subject. Additionally, thats not the only thing Dixie has been wrong about, he is almost always wrong in almost any prediction he makes.

Did you know that production of the Volt was restarted ahead of schedule due to increased demand?

That bailouts saved GM, and millions of jobs. What an absurd, biased contention...

The Volt is a cool idea. I just wonder how much pollution is put into the air from the electricity generators used to power it, but not too much. If they came up with a pickup that had the power to haul horses and the ability to go more than 100 miles or so I'd be buying it, if it was cost effective.

The first of everything big - cars, tv's, computers - were basically novelty items for years until they took off.

I think the idea is that we're probably much closer to being able to harness alternatives to power electricity grids than we are to having, say, a solar car. I think something like the electric car is the future once they make improvements to it, especially w/ gas at the pump going through the roof. I also think the new ad campaign for the Volt is MUCH better than the previous one...

Remember when flat screen televisions were like $8,000, and that was for the smaller one.

And it wasn't that long ago.

People always talk about wind & solar in terms of what the technology can harness now, and how efficient they are now (not much, and not very). Those aspects of alternatives will change more rapidly than most think.

Maybe. One things for sure. We'll see a lot of focus on developing alternative energy sources with oil above $100/barrel.

I don't know why they don't build a pickup.....they could load a ton of batteries in a raised floor in the pickup bed.....
