Furious’ John Kelly left detailed notes on Trump and Kushner in view of his staff: report

Outgoing White House chief of staff John Kelly is reportedly “furious” at Donald Trump and his son-in-law adviser Jared Kushner for pushing him out of the role.
A senior Trump administration official told The New York Times that Kelly kept written notes about Kushner and Trump “and the things that they had done or requested” — and that he “conspicuously” left in view of his staff on his desk.
The report did not mention whether those notes could be subject to subpoena and investigation.
Because Trump was “distrustful” of the chief of staff’s judgment, he won’t be consulting him on his replacement, those close to the president told the Times.
He was nevertheless at the White House Monday and went to a meeting with the president.
The report written by the Times‘ Maggie Haberman, Katie Rogers and Annie Karni also noted that Trump has proposed replacing Kelly with Matthew Whitaker, his acting attorney general.
The president “enjoys embarrassing reporters and planting his own information about staff machinations,” the report noted, and mentioned Whitaker’s name in spite of the opinions of “nearly every West Wing staff member” who said it’s unrealistic...
