i find it amusing that zappa tells others to be civil. zappa has repeatedly thrown out some of the crudest insults on the board. he frequently calls me yurtard or other names. yet, he believes he has the moral high ground to whine about me calling a troll a troll...this thread is a troll thread. and not once has zappa contributed anything to the OP topic, all he has done is attack and whine. hypocrisy at its finest.
 
I honestly don't care if he attacks or not. It's the do as I say not as I do thing that I find somewhat annoying, not enough to do anything other than continue pointing it out to them, but somewhat annoying nonetheless.
 
my point wasn't about the attacks or insults...it was pointing out his incredible hypocrisy in preaching to others about civility.

You can either be "civil" all the time and take the moral high ground or you can jump right into the middle of the idiocy and try to defend yourself with "They do it too!"

BTW - That is my 7 year old's favorite defense when she's caught doing something wrong. If you think being uncivil is "wrong" yet continue to be "uncivil" yourself, you can either shut up and hide your tears or deal with the hypocrite label.

And how exactly is my using the title of an article in the title of a post being uncivil? The article backed up its title's assertion with facts. Is using the word "democrats" to describe...well democrats, now uncivil? zaps a hypocrite-always has been.

Polls have showed a tightening race in the special election for Congress in New York.


Now, for the first time, a PPP poll has Democrat Kathy Hochul pulling ahead of Republican incumbent (and hilarious parody target) Jane Corwin.


Hochul has been pounding Corwin on her support for the Republican budget, making a sleeper district that Republican won with 73% of the vote in 2010, and 55% of the vote in 2008, surprisingly competitive.


There is one unusual factor at work here -- a third-party candidacy by former Democrat-turned-Tea Party populist Jack Davis that's pulling support from Corwin. Still, Hochul is now viewed more favorably (46-40) than Corwin (39-42). If Hochul pulls this out, it will exert a huge influence over the Congressional landscape.


Democrats even in unfriendly districts will have a viable plan to unseat Republican incumbents.


Meanwhile, Republicans, who have been riding high on ideological hubris, will suddenly come face to face with some cold political reality.


Conservatives have spent the last two years convincing each other that their only mistake under President Bush was to abandon conservative purity, and that they were coming back since 2009 due to the popularity of their agenda, rather than due to the good fortune of being the out party during an economic crisis.


Their vote for the Ryan budget was a product of this wild overconfidence.


Republicans in Congress will probably get a lot more gun shy now.

The title is backed up by NOTHING more than the writer's OPINION...I know how hard it is for you to separate fact from opinion, but do try a little harder.

An election that was supposed to be a shoo-in for Republicans in a solid GOP upstate New York district is suddenly very close. Why? Because the citizens of 26th congressional district realize that there is an issue that even the regular, hard-core Republican base voters over 45 are concerned with: Paul Ryan’s Medicare plan.

i do not call you a name everyday. another lie. and there is no hypocrisy on my part. i'm not the one running around telling people to be civil, YOU are. while you constantly insult and let your lefties get a pass. i'm not the only one pointing out your hypocrisy...think about that...and then reflect on how you can stop.

why is zappa always telling others how to post? the board nazi wants to tell everyone what they can and cannot do, while not holding himself or lefties to the same standard. is your life so empty that you feel you have to come here all the time and tell others how to live and post? get a life and stay out of other people's....
