Frontline: Death by Fire

“The Equal Protection Clause does not prohibit the Law School’s narrowly tailored use of race in admissions decisions to further a compelling interest in obtaining the educational benefits that flow from a diverse student body,” Grutter v. Bollinger, 539 U.S. 306 (2003)

Of course it does. That decision is obviously wrong.

pfffffft!!!!!! i can point out other court cases that are so wrong.....
I am waiting. Are you going to compare Grutter to Dred Scott? Maybe Plessy? For over one hundred years colleges used racial distinctions to keep Blacks out of their schools, then went further by claiming that underqualified whites got in on the "legacy system" a system that blacks could not use because it was impossible for african american's to claim legacy when none of their ancestors could get in to make them legacies. It really is tiring to hear white men whine about a system that has not done anything to decrease the number of white men in almost every field of endevor. The only thing that is doing that is that less white men are graduating from college.

rant rant rant.

Keeping blacks out was just a narrowly tailored use of race.

Creating a new victim class does nothing to mend past wrongs, you fucking lying cretin.

I am white and I don't feel like a victim. Maybe I just achieved where you didn't and now you have to blame someone or something else. It's Affirmative Actions' fault. As I have pointed out to you numerous times, I was accepted to schools where my GPA and LSAT were good enough to get in. No one kept me out of any college or law school that I should not have otherwise been accepted to.

Look dumbass, it is a policy of race/gender discrimination, blaming the victims doesn't make it constitutional.

And let me repeat: Your schools must have been shitty if you somehow believe that policies of race/gender discrimination are consistent with the constitution.

They system has failed you, ged. I pity you as you wallow in your racist ignorance.

And I pity you as you wallow in your racial blame game as the way to explain why it is you have failed in life. If the black mans fault, it's the (insert racial catagory here)'s fault. I am sorry you have not achieved but it is not AA fault. If it were really what you claim then I would have felt it too. My brother and my father would have felt it. My father graduated HS in 1965 just as AA was beginning, he has a Ph D, and a post doctoral degree in Neuro-Psychology. My brother was a cop for 12 years and is now a HS teacher. I have a law degree. NONE of us was passed over to make way for a black student. You protest too much. Pick yourself up by your bootstraps and make something of your life and quit blaming everyone else.

Obviously the ones that attended weren't passed over. Duh.

Blaming the victim and name-calling doesn't make Affirmative Action constitutional.

If it was really what I claim? I'm not just claiming that it's race/gender discrimination, it really is.

How does it work if not through racial/gender discrimination?
