Southern Baptists sidestep direct attack on critical race theory

---“If some people were as passionate about the gospel as they are about critical race theory, we’d win this world to Christ tomorrow,” Reverend Merritt said.---

Despite calls from some members for a harsh condemnation of critical race theory, the Southern Baptist Convention adopted a resolution on racial reconciliation that was more broad and general.

The Rev. James Merritt, chairman of the resolutions committee, made a direct appeal for the 15,680 messengers to not focus on critical race theory.

I'm not sure how it is today, but in my youth many many blacks were baptists ... so this does not surprise me at all

And if the Southern Baptists want to keep and attract black congregations, they are going to not go down the road of CRT-obsession, like you message board radical extremists are.

They must have meetings where propagandists hand buzzwords on cards to the vapid painted ladies who deliver the "news" to Jesusland

"Critical race theory, to those who can actually define it, is an academic and legal framework that examines the impact of systemic racism on American society. For conservatives however, it’s the latest boogeyman they can use to scare people into thinking America’s children are being “indoctrinated” by “woke” leftist teachers. And while that is not even remotely the case, this idea is exploding on Fox News"

Where does CRT come from? What were the origins of CRT? Who developed it as a theory? What is it's academic and theoretical basis?

When you answer those questions the first sentence of the paragraph quoted above proves utterly and completely false.

Critical race theory, to those who can actually define it, is an academic and legal framework that examines the impact of systemic racism on American society.

This is a false statement based on a lack of understanding of what CRT is and how it was created as a theory.

yep, it is directly about CRT, you are just too fucking stupid to understand. If you do not condemn a policy, then you are supporting it.

Reading and comprehension is not one of your stronger traits. Hell, I do not think any democrat has that skill. As usual you are just wrong.
