I know what the thread topic is. The edit is the topic and the only thing Biden says after the cut is Satchel Paige.. There is nothing deceptive about it. If you could hear it real time you would realize its a non issue.

okay, imagine a stutterer. he is trying to say "Satchel Paige, a great player in the Negro League at that time...." he says, "Satchel Paige, a great Negro, at the time, in the Negro League...." trying to recover his main thought. you are a teacher. try to use common sense. is there anyone alive today out in public, not in a home or basement, who regularly refers to black people as negroes? do you really think biden calls black people negroes when he doesn't think anybody is listening? and if negro was so offensive to blacks, generally, would they still have the United Negro College Fund?

She's not a teacher, but it's kind of you to enable her fantasy. This is a person who, during the campaign last year, made fun of Biden's speech impediment and joked about how funny it would be to hear him do tongue-twisters.

As for the Negro comment, like CRT, the War on Christmas, Dr. Seuss cancel culture, and all the other faux Reichwing poutrages -- it's just more made up bullshit to try to get the base riled up. The thinking is that when one of them outs him/herself as a racist in the future, now they can screech "Well, Biden is too! He called Satchel Paige a NEGRO!"

On balance, Democrats must be doing a relatively good job on race relations if all conservatives are capable of is deliberately editing video make Biden seem racially insensitive.

Absent being able to find real examples of liberal racism, the rightwing fall back position will be to leap into their time machines, time travel back deep into the last century, and start complaining about something Robert Byrd did in the 1930s

Yep, they're unashamedly "left-biased." So to counter that, on the first page of this discussion I listed several other media sources for the same story.

Are you going to address the fact that Fox deliberately misled its viewers by dishonestly editing a video to make it look like Biden said something he did not, in order to drum up their poutrage? Oh, that's right. You're one of our fine racists who's just itching to prove that someone else is MORE racist. :laugh:
