FORT BRAGG, N.C. (WTVD) -- A sign of things to come at Fort Bragg.

The army post removed the name "Fort Bragg" from its access signs outside the installation.

It comes as it will be renamed Fort Liberty by the end of the year.

This was an initiative from the Department of Defense to rename nine military installations that are named after confederate soldiers.

Sounds good to me. It's always baffled me why we would name our military bases for people who betrayed said military and killed thousands upon thousands of our soldiers

Forget all the woke shit for a quick minute, the fact is Bragg wasn't a good general. Neither was Hood. I don't want their names removed due to some woke bullshit I just question whether they deserved to have installations named after them due to the fact they were shitty generals. They got a lot of their own men killed needlessly.
