Former Republicans and Democrats form new third U.S. political party

If Yang and Witman want to start a "new party"...fine with me.

But anyone who thinks that a new party will not have the problems which plague every
political party...are dreamers.

What on Earth makes anyone suppose that the creation of a new party is the solution to anything?

I was just watching The Young Turks this evening. The point was made that a large number of the potential staff for this party are former members of the Reagan, Bush and Trump administrations.

Nothing "centrist" about those guys. Also, centrist are not about radical change per se.

I tend to disagree about the effectiveness of centrist, as they (sometimes) can stand in the way of extremism no matter what side of the political fence. Oh well, we will see.

LOS ANGELES, July 27 (Reuters) - Dozens of former Republican and Democratic officials announced on Wednesday a new national political third party to appeal to millions of voters they say are dismayed with what they see as America's dysfunctional two-party system.

The new party, called Forward and whose creation was first reported by Reuters, will initially be co-chaired by former Democratic presidential candidate Andrew Yang and Christine Todd Whitman, the former Republican governor of New Jersey. They hope the party will become a viable alternative to the Republican and Democratic parties that dominate U.S. politics, founding members told Reuters.

I'm perfectly fine with the communists splitting themselves between two parties... I'll just stick with voting for the Republican Party.

My man, you're just another right wing wonk/troll with a LOT of time on his hands and a history of intellectual dishonesty/impotence. Case in point, you can't give an honest answer to the previous questions. Instead, you dodge and blow smoke.

Get over yourself, butch. PUOSU.

yuk.

I am ALL IN on this one. I really liked Yang anyone, and we really need this.

Dems have gone too far left, and Republicans have lost their friggin' minds. Americans need a better option, and one that aligns with the majority - who are NOT ideological, and fall more in a 'purple' category.

Oh, what a scathing retort! Such scintillating logic! How ever can I go on?

The chronology of the posts proves (once again) what a duplicitous right wing wonk/troll you are, Hawk. Grow up.

P.S.: the initials "PUOSU" = put up or shut up.

Competition is a good thing and Republicans and Democrats have become very complacent. Even if this new third party doesn't survive long term I hope it creates enough buzz to force the two major parties to step up their game. That would benefit all of us.
