I think part of the lure of Trump is he massages white grievance emotions.

It must be pretty depressing to think a diverse country with equal standing for blacks and minorities some how hurts anyone or sets them back.

White replacement theory is such a trap for racists.

Consider this: Everyone gets replaced. It is inevitable. We live, we die. We get replaced. That's life as a human. We don't last forever.

Things change. You can't freeze the world in one state or condition just because you like it that way. The only thing which is constant is change.

"Tatenhove said he believes Jan. 6 could have been more violent and that the country must reckon with the fact that such a threat still exists."

"“I have three daughters. I have a granddaughter. I fear for the world that they will inherit if we do not start holding these people to account,” Van Tatenhove said.

Rhodes has also offered to testify to the Jan. 6 committee if he can do so live and in-person, instead of from jail, where he is awaiting trial. The committee has not responded to his request."

I strongly believe that we should take Van Tatenhove's warning very seriously if we are seriously interested in protecting democracy.

You think? I think they should let him. They don't have to let him launch into a tirade. They can control the hearing, call him out of order, direct him to answer the question only. And anything he says under oath is evidence. He could dig himself deeper, and wake America up to the threat posed by the Oath Keepers. They could remind him and the public of just what sedition and insurrection are. They could present evidence against him that a lawyer might not allow in his trial.

Perhaps the reason they seem hesitant is because they don't want to undermine his criminal trial?

They had weapons stashed outside the magnetometers. My understanding of the big plan was to multifold but primarily to create enough disruption for Trump to declare martial law then invite his Proud Boys and Oath-Keepers into the city as his personal guard.

A secondary plan was to execute Pence and anyone who disagreed with Herr Trump.
