Do you think Trump should get away with all the crmes he committed? He is in line for at least 4 indictments right now. Ones that we all know he is guilty of. The first one appears to be his paying off a couple of women to hide his affairs from the voters. That is an election expense that he hid. The Lawyer, Cohen, who followed his orders got a 3-year sentence. Think Trump is not involved? He was called person no. 1 in the trial because he was president.
His actions in trying to cheat in Georgia to steal the election are only on tape. We have heard it. There are more phone calls on tape that we have not heard. Should he get away with that?
His theft of a truckload of classified documents is well known. His lying to the FBI is known. His hiding documents from the FBI is known.
There is more. Do you think Trump should get away with all that and more?

We live in a time where almost everyone walking among us has cell phone video footage of something.

Nobody would ever be alive one-one thousandth of the time it would take to review all that random footage.

There isn't a single human [or devolved sub-human] on this planet who cannot claim to having not seen an awful lot of video.

Incredibly, though, there are some among us who don't understand something even as obvious as this.

Are you pretending to believe that because some people were calm, or because police did not engage the mob at some points, that absolves a coup attempt?

You are missing the entire point.
The videos were purposely edited and many of the committee members did not even see the unedited footage. I keep using the "Hawley is a coward" video that was distributed all over the media in an attempt to make it look like Hawley was alone and running for his life when in fact, he was the last in a long line of Senators that were being ushered out of the building and he was running to catch up.

Watch Carlson's entire Mar 6 video and you will get a glimpse of what was left out. The editing and lies, still being pushed by the left are disgusting and disingenuous.
If you were on trial for anything, would you not want all the evidence to be presented?

There are over 360 hours of video.
The Hawley video was to show that even someone that was in solidarity with the protesters felt the need to run because they felt threatened. Whether they were the first person to run or the last is irrelevant.

Although we are miles apart in philosophy, I always considered you to be one of the more intelligent posters on this board. Now I am reassessing my position.

ALL of the Senators were being ushered out of the building. Why was Hawley running edited and used as the poster boy for cowardice in congress and on all media platforms? Get real, If Hawley were a democrat, the media would be praising him for being a hero, making sure all his fellow Senators were out before himself.

Carlson aside, the violent protesters aside, and even those that were just wandering around with the capitol police, these videos clearly pointed out the horribly biased nature of the Jan 6 committee. There is no way anyone with a functioning brain can deny that fact.

Understand my position. I did not, and do not condone what happened that day even to the point of the Babbbitt shooting. If you are being overrun you should take the steps necessary to ward off the attack. Seeing this video I did not change my opinion but it did reinforce my belief that this was nothing more than a show trial staged to help win the midterms and again attack Donald Trump.
