Ford staying in the US?

Do not give Trump (or his ideas) any credit for anything ... ever. Don't you guys watch the news. Also, every pick he's made is racist and stupid. Why is Romney even talking to him. It's all over the networks this morning. Geesh...pay attention, won't you?!

Now that that's out of my system, I do doubt that he had anything to do with this. But I predict that this will be the back and forth between him and the media for the next 4 years.

a) Well stated.

b) It may seem a criticism.

But it's a two sided coin (I've never seen the other kind).

If Trump did not hire any insiders; it would be an executive administration composed entirely of outsiders; a team that had no connection to the levers of power in the most powerful, most important capital & capitol in the world.

I can't deny my concern for Trump's choice of chief of staff.
But I'm willing to reserve judgment.

Let's wait until the solar system catches fire before we call the fire department.

The board at FOMOCO has an obligation to shareholders to maximize return on investment.

a) If there was a plan to move operations abroad, and

b) if Trump talked them out of it;

what words could Trump POSSIBLY have said / written that would have transformed the $equation?
Real polling, like what hrc saw that made her cancel her fireworks

met with Ford a few days ago......
"one thing you can be sure of, Trump won't follow through on any of his campaign promises".....

As usual, if it's comes from a JPP Rightie...it's another lie.

Donald Trump tried to take credit for keeping a Kentucky Ford plant in the US that was never going to leave.
A union contract was the real reason why the plant was always going to stay in the United States.

No. But Ford decided to stay in the U.S. long before the conversation w/ Trump yesterday.

Do you think they just decided that last night?

I'm sure Ford decided to tell Trump about it first because Trump had nothing to do with it......after all, he told Obama too, right?.....

of course.....they didn't have that union contract when they announced they were leaving.....

Fortune reported that the Kentucky plant, like the Michigan plant, wasn’t going anywhere, ““We already have the plants and investment in other parts of the world. It frees us up to make further investments in the U.S.,” Fields said, pointing to the money invested to launch a new SuperDuty pickup at a plant in Kentucky.”

Trump is taking credit for keeping Ford in Kentucky, when he had NOTHING to do with their decision.

READ IT AND WEEP, MORON.....

After talks between Executive Chairman Bill Ford and the president-elect, the automaker decided to keep building the MKC in Louisville after the UAW’s current contract expires in 2019.
“We had planned to move the Lincoln MKC out of Louisville Assembly Plant,” Christin Baker, a Ford spokeswoman, said in an e-mail, noting the UAW contract signed last year allowed for such a move. "Cuautitlan plant in Mexico was likely the plant for MKC."

During his campaign, Trump was relentless in his criticism of Ford for planning to move all its North American small-car production to Mexico, where wages are 80 percent lower than in the U.S. Ford also builds the Lincoln MKZ sedan at a factory in Hermosillo, Mexico. During the campaign, Trump threatened to slap Ford’s Mexican-built cars with a 35 percent tariff. He also said he would terminate the North American Free Trade Agreement, which lets goods flow between Mexico, the U.S. and Canada without tariffs.

Ford, which has expressed a willingness to work with Trump since he was elected, has been in "constant contact" with his transition team, Chief Financial Officer Bob Shanks told analysts Thursday. Ford’s change of heart on moving the MKC to Mexico followed those discussions.

“We are encouraged that President-elect Trump and the new Congress will pursue policies that will improve U.S. competitiveness and make it possible to keep production of this vehicle here in the U.S.,” the automaker said in an e-mailed statement after Trump’s tweets.

- dandy -

I inquire yet once again.
Such move is a BUSINESS DECISION.
What words could Trump have spoken that would have decided the matter?

I make no issue of the validity of the report. I would simply like to know what persuasion Trump used.

Anybody?

Yeah, an article filled with speculative "planned to" and "Mexico is likely..."

"Ford’s CEO said that the plant was never moving to Mexico"..."was NEVER moving"

no one was talking about the entire Kentucky operation.....

You're slipping dude....you can't even lie good anymore.....even with help from your left wing websites....

Just changing the subject a wee bit ain't gonna cut it lad.....that might fool you, but not the rest of us....
