Moral of the story: Socialist public universities are the best bang for the buck.

"Public universities deliver the most outstanding education to the broadest range of students at the most affordable price. That’s the message of Forbes’ 2021 ranking of top colleges."

The Top Ten:

Northwestern University
University of Pennsylvania
University of California Los Angeles
Harvard
MIT
Colombia
Princeton
Yale
University of California Berkeley

I would argue that free or subsidized universal socialist public education is arguably liberalism's greatest contribution to the human condition.

Every institution of higher education I ever attended or taught at was a socialist public college or university, though sadly none cracked Forbes' top ten.

America has an outstanding university system. It really is one of our strongest points... And of course Republicans want to destroy it.

Have you read any of the posts by the alt right here?
I have been registered here since 2006, and numerous rightwing posters, perhaps even a plurality, routinely downplayed, dismissed, or mocked higher education.

trump is still bitter that he could not get into law school. If he had graduated at the "top of his class" as he claimed, he would have had no problem getting into law school.

It seems likely he cheated on his SAT's and got someone else to take it.

Since this all just a mindless partisan pissing match its interesting the Democrats used to be the party of the working guy/common man and now you almost despise anyone who is not college educated. And you think people like Trump and his kids are better than everyone else because they are Ivy League educated. The times they are a changin...

Biden/Harris is the first team not to have an Ivy League graduate in the last 40 years.

That being said, there are a lot of common people with college degrees, and a lot of people with working class background who have gotten a college degree.

Howard is the Ivy League of HBCU's.

Nah, you put on a pedestal these folks who go to these elite institutions and act like the Trump's are the only ones who used money and influence to get there. There's this huge element of irony that folks b*tch about the rich but love that they went to elite schools and pay hundreds of thousands to send their kids to elite private/boarding schools before going to the Ivy League themselves.

They are proud of being anti-higher education.
I leave it to the psychologists to figure out, but this message board is exhibit A of conservative resentment of, or hostility towards higher education.

Apparently, Trump told them colleges are chock full of Marxist-Leninists.

Both the Clintons went to public high schools.
