The rate is not universal, especially for skilled trades. It is typically unskilled or white collar laborers that are unemployed right now.

Yeah, but even if the unemployed had all the skills necessary to meet employment requirements, four out of five unemployed people would still be unemployed. There aren't enough jobs.

Imagine where we would be had we not had the stimulus.....

A real recovery. When will politicians leave us alone so we can create jobs? Everytime there is a crisis it has been due to the fault of dumarses in DC. Look at the mortgage fiascal that started the whole recession. None the less Bwarney Fwranks lied and lied and lied to everyone about what was going on.

TCL...you're always good for a laugh................but when you see a thread labeled...."For you who know a bit about economics..." you really ought to think before you post....

Wait for a thread labeled "For you who don't know your ass from a hole in the ground...", then give it your best shot.......

the unemployment for skilled labor is almost non existant. There are plenty of jobs unfilled due to lack of qualified candidates.
gex x slackers that went to college for video game playing/making might be hurting.

The skilled labor jobs have been taken by all of those future Obama voters who just crossed the border.

You mean blue collar laborers? Or maybe you meant... unskilled or white collar laborers who work at FoodMax or KFC?

There are a good many skilled and unskilled type jobs, which have been absorbed and rendered obsolete. Companies big and small, have allowed natural attrition to happen, and workforces streamlined to handle the responsibilities, instead of hiring new workers. All over America, the % of EMPLOYED people, are increasingly more stressed out and befuddled at management, who continue to demand the same productivity with fewer workers. Pay increases have been frozen, some companies are ordering mandatory furloughs, Others are going to 4-10s or hiring part time temps, etc.. things are bleak at best.

Certain businesses are doing well... if you own a title pawn, you are racking up...

I'm just waiting for you to ask a question, or make a statement that we can remain focused on.
