Keep your eye on Waukesha , Wisconsin ......Their biggest employer just moved out.

General Electric is planning to move its 115-year-old X-ray division from Waukesha, Wis., to Beijing. In addition to moving the headquarters, the company will invest $2 billion in China and train more than 65 engineers and create six research centers. This is the same GE that made$5.1 billion in the United States last year, but paid no taxes-the same company that employs more people overseas than it does in the united States.

So let me get this straight. President Obama appointed GE Chairman Jeff Immelt to head his commission on job creation (job czar).

Immelt is supposed to help create jobs. I guess the President forgot to tell him in which country he was supposed to be creating those jobs.

If this doesn't show you the total lack of leadership of this President, I don't know what does. Please pass this information to others and
think about it before you buy a GE product.

The guy responsible for this is Jeffrey Imelt, Obama's "Jobs Czar". Nice. Crap like this makes you wonder if the left has any common sense at all.

Bravo, how are the poor, developing countries supposed to get ahead if they don't have jobs? God forbid if one is asked to share their wealth so what other way can we level the playing field?

If we want a united world what is your suggestion?

apple, please help me to understand how it is 'benevolent' in a liberals mind that bringing other parts of the world up to decent living conditions requires bringing certain other demographics down to less than tolerable living conditions?

why is it necessary to diminish the lives of others to make the world a level playing field?

Developing countries are not my concern....not my problem......but I would imagine that they would develop like the rest of the
world's nations developed....and that is, without my help....
Through hard work, education, perseverance, and leadership......thats how the rest of the world developed.......

They have no right to another's country's wealth......

We have no duty to supply jobs to the people of China, Russia, Turkey, Peru, France, Holland, Iran, Chad, Kenya, Egypt or anywhere else in the world......

It is not my duty to "level the playing field"....Life is not a game ....

I don't particularly want a 'united world'.......if it was my choice, I'd pick a free world.....

So......fuck off.

How else can it be done? We insist they have something to trade.

You have to understand there is no shortage of commodities here, yet, there are people going hungry and have no home. Why? Because we insist they have something to trade. The same applies to the rest of the world. If we wanted we could export machinery and seed and show the people how to become self-sufficient but we don't. Why?

If we don't help them by giving them the opportunity to work and have something to trade how do you propose we help them?

I never suggested sharing wealth with North Korea. In any case there are many countries we can start with before we get to North Korea.
