How would we know? For hypocrites, attitudes change quickly

Congress sets its own ethics rules.
Problem is, if Republicans want to stick it to Conyers, it'll end up biting the GOP in the butt again.
Remember how Republicans term-limited the presidency to 2 terms, because of the 4 terms FDR (D) had?
And remember how that same term limit standard prevented them from returning their demigod Reagan back for a 3rd term?
Lucky thing actually, as Reagan was already losing his marbles before the end of his 2nd term.
I don't see the relevancy.
Conyers has been accused and paid a settlement. As far as I know, he has not admitted doing anything wrong.
Why should he quit?
He paid for it with taxpayers money. http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2017/11/conyers-settled-sex-harassment-claim-using-taxpayer-money.html
That is also true of others on both sides of the aisle. It is not an admission of guilt.
No one in their right mind is going to pay a settlement for something they did not do.
Your statement is erroneous. Settlements are paid in 97% of civil litigation cases because it is easier and cheaper to resolve most matters out of court, and in the vast majority of these instances there is no admission of wrongdoing.
More dumb people in this county that I thought.
You're entitled to your opinion.

Untrue; because sometimes the cost of the settlement is less then it would cost to mount a defense.
This is why so many people file suits against cities and the Cops, they know there will be a settlement.

This is interesting to me. If you were accused of doing something that you did not do at all, would you pay a settlement? I have never been in that situation though I think I would fight it tooth and nail.
Yes I am.
But not your own facts.
