I don't know about Alabama, but in most jurisdictions the owner/manager has the right to ask someone to leave if the property is privately-owned. Only if the person refuses to leave, can police be called. At that point the owner/manager would be advised to get a restraining order. But if the person leaves without becoming belligerent, the owner/manager 1) has no reason to call the police, and 2) no reason to justify the restraining order. IOW, the person can keep showing up and be told to leave, but as long as he complies there is no legal reason that the police and/or courts would get involved. So if this is the case with Moore and the Mall, it's accurate to say that he was "banned" by being told to leave. And just as accurate to state that there is no paper trail, only eyewitnesses. BTW, the Mall manager did say "to the best of my knowledge," and did not claim it as a certainty.

30 years later, if asked, would *you* recall someone with a common name like Moore, if you worked in retail and dealt with literally thousands of customers and employees over that period of time?

What I have noticed is that rightwingers are not even trying to rationalize Moore's pursuit, and alleged assault, of teenage girls anymore.

That is quite a move away from the 'Mary mother of Jesus was a teenager" argument that was trotted out a week ago. The goal posts are on the move!

He's an idiot and the dumbest poster here, Evince. He thinks banning requires a police report or a no trespass order, or it didn't happen. And he'll never back down from his stupid comments either.

Last week Faux News banned Gene Simmons for life because of his crude actions. But there's no record of a police report on him.

"Fox finally had enough of Simmons after he crudely insulted female Fox staffers, taunted them and exposed his chest, and otherwise behaved like the “demon” character he plays onstage. Management was not amused, and Simmons’s photograph was promptly posted Wednesday at the security entrance of the company’s Manhattan headquarters along with a “do-not-admit” advisory...

Hey chicks, sue me!” he shouted, and then pulled open his red velvet shirt to reveal his chest and belly, according to the source. Then he starting telling Michael Jackson pedophilia jokes, and then bopped two employees on the head with his book, making derisive comments about their comparative intelligence according to the sound their heads made when struck."

Banning someone from a News Station is way different then banning someone from a Mall.

A News Station is normally a private business and they can regulate who enters their places of employment.
A mall, not so much.

What kind of idiot actually thinks there needs to be police action to ban someone from private property?

I'm so glad that all of these posters are so convinced that they know more on this and therefore there is no need to present anything to refute the FACTS.
Unfortunately, they're still in error and are wrong.

The neighborhood teenagers should gather in Freedumbs backyard for a kegger party, knowing that he can't actually "ban" them from his property until a police restraining order is filed.

Now see, no one mentioned "until it is filed".

Maybe you could educate yourself and actually contact your local PD and ask them how you ban someone from entering your property.

Not that you'll be honest about what they tell you. :D

Ergo: what I posted earlier.

If this is what occurred, then he left VOLUNTARILY and was not "banned".

He wasn't trying to get into the US Senate either, for the last decade. Anybody running for a national office gets their background highly scrutinized, it comes with the territory.

There is nothing with a through background check, sadly, more often than not, it just becomes a smear campaign for character assassination....
and more often than not, its always about sex or money and claims it happened 20, 30, 40, 50 years ago....almost impossible to defend
from that kind of mud slinging.....

Good....

What kind of idiot actually thinks there needs to be police action to ban someone from private property?

the kind of guy who understands the way the law works.......sorry you idiots screwed up again......there's a difference between a property kept open to the public for commercial purposes like a mall and property kept for private use like a house......

so, in other words, you concede he wasn't banned......

Your pathetic grasping at ever-thinning air in order to defend this despicable POS is .... well... pathetic. And funny too.

Let's put it this way. You own a head shop. I come in there and am freaked out about all the druggie hippie libtard shit and cause a stink and smack one of your customers. You tell me to leave. I leave. But inside I'm seething because I know you're running this hideous den of iniquity and drugs and I Must Go There and do stuff. So I keep coming back. I keep annoying your customers. You keep showing me the door. I keep leaving when you get pissed off.

Am I banned?
