Wow - that's a genuine shellacking in the House.

If the Senate actually went 50/50, it would be a horrific day for the Dems. Probably a silver lining for Obama, though - he'd have a chance to reinvent himself. Worst thing for him would be a narrow Dem victory in both houses (not likely at all)....

Yeah, the House is a mess for Dems.

Even though the polls have the Senate going 50/50, I still have a hard time believing it. NV and WA especially. I can't stand Reid, but to see Angle beating him is unbelievable. WA will be interesting to see.

I don't know if Obama is adept enough to reinvent himself as Clinton did so effectively.

If the Senate does go 50/50.... I want to see ole' Biden come a trottin in to break some ties. That will be good for a gaffe or two. :)
 
Tomorrow will not be pretty for the Democrats, but it will be better than the first mid-terms were for Regan and Clinton.

IT will also be better than many on this board predicted.

My excitement comes from being able to repeatedly say "the GOP owns the economy now"....

I'm on rightie time as of tomorrow, and accorcding to righties, Barney Frank had more power than Bush, there was nothing Bush could have done about the economy since 2006, and it was the "Obama Recesssion" as of November, 2008.

So there.

Nah, the rules are as follows: if a Democrat is president and the economy is doing really well, he has nothing to do with it but it has everything to do with the Republicans in Congress (the Clinton Rule). If a Democrat is president and the economy is shitty, it's all his fault that the economy is struggling (the Obamasocialist Rule). If a Republican is president and the economy is doing well, it is the result of his policies and the Democratic Congress has nothing to do with it (the Regan Rule). If a Republican is President and the economy is not doing well, it is due to factors beyond his control or the fault of the Democrats in Congress (the GWBTerra Rule).
 
Unless there is a huge turnaround tomorrow, it looks like the Republicans are responsable for a lackluster recovery!

I just can't see this going so well for the Republicans. Good, yes...but as well as this is predicted??? I don't know. While there are a few I will be rooting for on the national level, my focus will be more here at home tomorrow night. For me, and I would suppose for many of us here, watching the results roll in tomorrow night is kind of like watching a sporting event. I do look forward to it every year. Got a few politicians I will be rooting for that are in competitive races this year:

Dan Boren - not real competitive but has gotten smeared with some false campaigning

Kenneth Corn - Running for Lieutenant Governor...first state wide election and having a tough time against the republican opponent

Neil Brannon - Running for State Senate...having to deal with less than honest commercials about his record as Representative from his republican opponent

If the overall Senate is indeed 50/50...wow. I just don't think that's going to happen. I think the West Virginia senate race is very interesting. The democrat there isn't so bad, IMO. I read that he had like a 70% approval rating or something, endorsements from the NRA, and is pretty conservative....but is having a tough time in this election. Yep, I'm getting the popcorn ready for tomorrow night. :)

I agree mostly with you assessment. I feel the Democrats will retain the Senate, mostly due to the nomination of that woman in Delaware.

Retaining the Seanate is great for the Democrats, it was predicted to be an impossable feat 6 months ago. I bet Obama wishes the Democrats would lose the Senate.

All in all, if it comes out the way its predicted, I call it a win for the Democrats in that they did much better than expected.

Hahaha, I understand you point... but I like sporting events, even when my team loses....

Especally when my team does better than previously expected...

This should be the primary tell in to just how pathetic and destructive that the Democrat policies have been in this country. To need to be the minority party so you can blame the fallout of your policies on the party in power is so lame.

This is the american way. The republicans needed a couple years out of power so they could frame themselves as deficit hawks again. Both parties are just as lame.

No world series tomorrow. Last game in Texas is tonight, if Giants win, it is the last game of the series for this year. If Texas wins, tomorrow is a travel day. Sons of Anarchy tomorrow! I missed last tuesday's so I have to find it and watch it before tomorrow. I fricken love that show. Speaking of shows, AMC has a new one called The Walking Dead. Really good, started with a bang last night. Not gonna miss that one.

Walking Dead was great; bleaker than I expected, but really well done. Better than most zombie movies I've seen; I"ll be interested to see if they can keep it up over the long haul.

Last week's SOA was outstanding...

2 years into a Democrat Presidency and 4 years into a FULL Democratic Congress and they still won't take any responsibility for their stewardship of the nation....so come back in 2014 when the GOP will "own" the economy.

Ahz your cynicism is valid- I also think though that the people voting GOP share your cynical view. That's why we had TEA Party backed candidates that were able to beat out incumbents in the primaries. Voters are fed up with the status quo and this elections cycle, if it accomplishes little else, definitely sends that message to politicians.
