Given that for every dollar illegals contribute we lose something on the order of $5 to $10 in enforcement, crime, money transfers, etc. I eat Mexican food pretty regularly. None of the places I go to use illegals. They know better. Arizona isn't a state where you want to be an illegal for the most part because it's likely you're getting arrested and deported.

They aren't a deep part of our economy. For example, both Frederico's and Chuy's restaurant chains got busted for using illegals. The management and owners went to prison even. Both still exist and no longer use illegals because the new management knows better.

Most illegals don't pay taxes or FICA or whatever. They work for cash. During Biden's term, the dayworkers reappeared at places like Home Depot here. Trump came in and they disappeared. You don't see them out now at all.

Farms are increasingly going to mechanization and automation rather than using manual labor too.
