The police tried to stop him with a stun gun - but failed.
Then they opened fire on him (after he apparently turned and raised his arm).

What if he gets away, leads them on yet another chase a few days later and he runs over someone?
And what difference does it make how many bullets hit him?
So if he died with only 6 bullets fired - that makes it much better?
