We better make it a little more clear to you....

A DEMOCRAT before seeking elective office, Bloomberg switched his registration in 2001 and ran for mayor as a Republican, winning the election that year and a second term in 2005. Bloomberg left the Republican Party over policy and philosophical disagreements with national party leadership in 2007 and ran for his third term in 2009 as an independent candidate ...

He was a liberal before he ran and hes still a liberal.....he'll label himself or register whatever he needs to, to win....

He left ?.....He wasn't welcomed into the party in the first place....

So what you hate is a Democrat/Liberal idea

He ran and won as a Republican Bravo...and he's the 11th richest man on the Forbes list. He also engineered the Republican convention being in NYC in 2004. He has extremely con viewpoints on things like unions which he and his gf have made high profile attempts to destroy. He doesn't hate gays or women as long as they aren't poor. Maybe that makes him a liberal to you, but in the real world...

He's a Republican.

Moronic idea. Second only to Bloomberg's campaign to ticket every car in NYC. It was so out of hand, it even made network t.v. shows like 'Without A Trace'.

He needed revenue, and it was going to come from somewhere. Are you parked? You get a ticket. You can fight it out in court.

Stating the fact that he ran as a Republican, was instrumental in getting the Republican convention held in NYC, and even though he is Mayor of liberal NYC, did not change his identification to Democratic (instead choosing "independent") when he ran again while the most unpopular President in NYC, ole W was casting a large shadow over Republicans in this state, is not "spinning" or lying Bravo.

Of course, he was an R then...no one disputed that...and he was and is the Mayor and the convention was good for the city, no matter whose convention it is....

In his latest effort to fight obesity in this era of Big Gulps and triple bacon cheeseburgers, Mayor Michael Bloomberg is proposing an unprecedented ban on large servings of soda and other sugary drinks at restaurants, delis, sports arenas and movie theaters.

Drinks would be limited to 16 ounces, which is considered a small serving at many fast-food joints.

"The percentage of the population that is obese is skyrocketing," Bloomberg said Thursday on MSNBC. He added: "We've got to do something."
