Gas ovens give off massive amounts of carbon monoxide, so they are quite dangerous.
They could go to prison for two years, but I do not expect them to do that just to smuggle books into a school.
You think books prevent children from thinking for themselves? I would argue they help children think better for themselves.
This is worse than I thought. What humans do is we become educated, and then we extend human knowledge. We need books to give us a good starting point. If we all had to reinvent all human knowledge from the beginning, we would only get less than a hundred years into the million years of advancement humans have done. That is barely the stone age.
The owners of the books are still not completely known. Over time, they will get rid of the books, and Florida children will be more ignorant for it all.
You answered your own question. It must be "selected" by a "media specialist certified" person. So a book can be fine, and the teacher will still go to prison for two years if not pre-approved yearly. Given the danger of falling afoul of the law, it is dangerous to have any book in the classroom.

So you have parents attempting to teach kids, but they don't know how to teach because they never were trained.
My parents did not teach me math, science, English, writing, or any of the things teachers have to go through years of training in order to educate kids.

DeSantis wants to ban sales tax on gas stoves... While continuing sales taxes on any other type of stove. It makes everyone's life more complex, as they have to exclude only gas stoves from taxes.
Why? Because he read on a conspiracy website that gas stoves would be banned. Why charge no taxes on something that will be not sold? The answer does not matter, because the banning is a hoax.

Nope, I AM a teacher. And I should have no say at all how a parent raises their children, with the possible exception of a child exhibiting evidence of parental neglect or abuse, or that child reporting it directly to me. Then it is my obligation to report that situation to the appropriate authorities. I can and have given parents advice on how to respond to academic deficiencies in their kids, but that is the extent of my involvement.
