Florida rejects large percentage of math school books

The battle is lost.....almost all of the teachers currently teaching were trained by the Regressives to push the ideology and disregard educating the youth. The last thing the REvolution wants is educated people who can think for themselves. We also know that the people in the schools will go to the mat lying about what they are doing. Laws and textbook filtering will not change anything.

Have you even met any American teachers? That is absolutely not what they do. For most teachers, it is a calling to teach and help kids learn. In Russia where you are it is different, so I see why you would think it is for propaganda, but it is not true here. Most all are very dedicated professionals whose goal is to teach kids subjects as well as they can.

You haven't changed have you...?

Geez.. if I could only carry off that look :) I'm just too sexy for clothes like that. My threads work in concert with me, both caressing my skin and arousing all who see me.

If they could just bottle my sexiness it would be better than any hormone pill imaginable.

It seems that some publishers attempted to slap a coat of paint on an old house built on the foundation of Common Core, and indoctrinating concepts like race essentialism, especially, bizarrely, for elementary school students,” said Governor Ron DeSantis. “I’m grateful that Commissioner Corcoran and his team at the Department have conducted such a thorough vetting of these textbooks to ensure they comply with the law.”

“We’re going to ensure that Florida has the highest-quality instructional materials aligned to our nationally-recognized standards,” said Commissioner of Education Richard Corcoran. “Florida has become a national leader in education under the vision and leadership of Governor DeSantis. When it comes to education, other states continue to follow Florida’s lead as we continue to reinforce parents’ rights by focusing on providing their children with a world-class education without the fear of indoctrination or exposure to dangerous and divisive concepts in our classrooms.”

Florida’s transparent instructional materials review process ensures the public has the opportunity to review and comment on submitted textbooks. The instructional materials process allows Florida to prevent publishers from incorporating inappropriate, ineffective, or unsolicited concepts and strategies into instructional materials that will dilute the quality of Florida’s nationally-recognized education system.

With this, the abortion measure, "don't say gay" & the voter suppression measures, DeSantis is giving a clinic on grandstanding.

Hey, look at me, everyone! I'll be running for President soon!

Just run your state.

So do you have examples?

I cant say what's in the books but from the descriptions and the vile crap WOKE textbook publishes have been poisoning our kids minds with..well there are specific standards -and these are violation

I do know that Florida schools have been open for kids since Oct 2020 - they were closed less then 6 months
That made a lot of parents move here. to get kids in schools and not get brainwashed

They are still coming, and the new law prohibiting CRT (etc) is very popular even with dems

If you don't know what's in the books then how the fuck can you even discuss it?

no examples since they are rejected.
But there is specific criteria (which I am too lazy to look up) ,, some more on that :
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...tbooks-school-fight-Critical-Race-Theory.html
The Florida Department of Education tossed out 54 math textbooks submitted for its curriculum, with 28 rejected for referencing CRT
The state DOE ultimately tossed out 41 percent of the 132 math textbooks submitted for including CRT, Common Core and Social Emotional Learning
The DOE said 71 percent of the material submitted for elementary school students were not appropriately aligned with Florida standards
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis had banned CRT as a component in Florida schools saying it was 'indoctrinating' students in 'woke ideology'
The state says publishers were warned ahead of time to make sure the books complied with the law and said they are free to alter the books and try again

Ah so no examples. DeSantis just pulling bullshit out of thin air.

So there is nothing to discuss if nobody knows what's in those books.

If you don't know what's in the books then how the fuck can you even discuss it?
because I can see the criteria, and see where it's not met. I also know what typical textbooks are (trash)
So I am going on what crap is usually pushed and what crap is prohibited and that all matches up

You can dispute it or not -im not interested that much in your opinion on most anything
