Going after the dyes and other chemicals in our food chain are going to be great as well. The left of course suddenly opposes all that. They apparently love childhood obesity and pre-diabetes in 2nd graders.

The way were able to wipe out Smallpox, and nearly wipe out Polio is by completely ringing every case with many lines of vaccination. That is gone with this. As Top loves to point out, vaccines are not perfect, so you really need several vaccinated people between you and anyone contagious. That too is gone.

Yep. Let us hope that there's no "lab accident" and smallpox gets released. No one under age 50 has any immunity. None of my kids (the oldest is 50) had a smallpox vaccine. As for us elders, immunity wanes over time as well.

That's not a serious worry, though. We will always be at risk as new diseases emerge. Smart nations fully fund -- and respect -- their scientists and researchers and are ready to create new treatments and preventatives when needed. Sadly, we are not a smart country any more.

Yes. People slightly older than me had the Smallpox vaccine. I am 54, and did not get it.

There is some evidence that with the right equipment, anyone can rebuild Smallpox, or at least something related.

Russia has a specimen of Smallpox, and a recent history of terrorist attacks. Putin could release Smallpox thinking that his people would be vaccinated, and hoping the anti-vaxxer movement he supports in the West will hurt us more than him.

I have no doubt that we also have smallpox specimens in a lab somewhere, "just in case." What do you suppose will happen if it "escapes" either accidentally or on purpose? Do you think all these anti-science idiots would accept the vaccine once recreated, or would they argue that all you really need is fresh air and vitamins and a healthy diet, ala Dr. Toxic* and the other Reichtards?

Our governor, lt. governor, and other top officials all got their COVID vaccines publicly in order to encourage the public to follow suit. That's what real leaders do. I always thought it was strange that Trump bragged about and took credit for the quick development of the COVID vax, yet when it came time to get it himself he did it in secret so as not to upset the Reichtards who were calling it "poison." A real leader would have publicly stated the truth and publicly received it himself to show his courage and confidence to the people.
