I disagree with your opinion on that. The United States Congress officially recognized the Pledge as the official national pledge on June 22, 1942. Regardless of your opinion of Mr. Bellamy, or your opinion of his motives, the Pledge was adopted by the US Congress, not foist upon us by a Fascist dictator. It doesn't seek to "brainwash" anyone, just to reaffirm loyalty to the nation, for which the flag stands. It sounds to me like, YOU are the one who has been "brainwashed" into believing a bunch of nonsense.

Now, you came along and correctly refuted his pinhead statement, by admitting that other things would still kill our children, in the absence of radical zealots.
