Who supported/supports a federal law to ban burning the American Flag?

I thought it was the proper way to dispose of the old ones you have flying around your house.

I did not and do not support it. It is freedom of speech.

I don't.

Someone has as much right to burn the flag, as I do to put out the fire.

depends whose property the flag is and on whose property it is being burnt - not all flag burning is improper

ps i think the pledge of allegiance is a fascist device

pps from wiki - An allegiance is a duty of fidelity said to be owed by a subject or a citizen to his/her state or monarch. - not their flag but the state in our case

That wasn't part of the question, so it wasn't addressed in the answer.

If you set fire to all the flags fluttering gaily on all the flagpoles in America ....
