Actually, you did when you used the word firearms. Since they are not alive, therefore, they need someone that is to make the function as designed. Unless it can grow arms/legs, walk to where it fires, and pulls it own trigger, it's not a danger unless SOMEONE misuses it. It simply can't function in the manner you say without that happening.

You do know that Columbus' mismanage and atrocities were so bad that he had a Royal Commission investigate his governorship. They arrested him and brought him back to Spain in chains. Where the King spared his life but stripped him of a title and the governorship.

So even by contemporary 15th and 16th century standards he was a complete fuck head.
