I like Angela Eagle she is very funny and a good performer in Parliament, Labour could do a lot worse although I would prefer Dan Jarvis. I suppose one advantage for her is that being a twin, she could send her sister in to bat for her if she is sick!! We could be in the unique postion of having the two main parties headed up by women, the Darlak's heads must be spinning!!

Jeremy Corbyn is facing all-out attack from Labour moderates as they warn that the party will split if he refuses to go. MPs are urging Angela Eagle to stand against the leader if he defies a final appeal to go voluntarily. Mr Corbyn faces a fresh humiliation later with his lack of support set to be cruelly exposed first at PMQs, and then at an Opposition Day debate.
Former leader of the Commons warned today that Labour will be 'destroyed' if he does not stand aside, while a tearful former Leader Margaret Beckett also urged him to resign this morning. The veteran left-winger has faced massive revolt among MPs determined to dislodge him, with more than 50 MPs quitting the front bench. He lost a no confidence vote by 172 to 40 overnight, but immediately pledged to fight on - insisting his mandate from party members' is more important than MPs' support.
