Um it takes time to make a response. You can't just snap and it'll be done in one day. Plus we have the war in Ukraine. President Biden is not Superman and nether is Trump.

Autarky is great in theory, but always fails. North Korea's is a good example of self reliance and what it leads to. Even beyond that, the inability to buy from others means when you fail, it is catastrophic.

Think about this, from time to time, the crops in the USA fail. I barely even notice it. I buy my food from whoever. Then I pay a bit extra in taxes to support the farmers until the next year.

Every time a school shooting happens and children die we all ask Republicans why are you ok with children dying when you could be doing something about it other than spewing useless platitudes? More children died in one shooting than from a formula shortage.
